If you are working on your Masters, or PhD, your name will not appear on the paper unless the Dr. wants to or is kind enough. A big corporation, mid size managers get the company running and when it is doing well, the executives are celebrated. Same thing with players and managers. If a project fails and a Dr. doesn't come to a conclusion the university will make adjustments. Executives resign. My point is that Mourinho making more than the players makes sense to me. He is criticized for hogging all the lime light but as per the two past examples, he is the leader of the group. It makes sense to me that a coach commands the respect of his players, so far in the three teams he has managed, every player (except terry, who is an asshole) has loved him.
I always held managers and coaches in high regard, more so than the players themselves. Mourinho's celebrations may be exaggerated and over the top but they are not unusual to me and I understand. What mourinho does to his players is very rare in the world. The ability to attract all the attention to him and protect his players is very unselfish. He could easily hide behind players, but he always detracted the attention off his players and either onto himself or someone else.
