With the anti-football feeling at it's zenith in France, I can see the judiciary system wanted to make an example out of somebody. I doubt they will get a custodial sentence but they might well get a community service type sentence, which will be interesting to see how they will be able to attend considering where they live and work. Theoretically the courts could not grant them leave from France until the sentence is served.

AS claim that khedira already has an agreement with bayern for the 2011/12 season.

moreover, how will all this zahiagate affect real madrid planing regarding the striker department? i mean, the benz was shit last season already, but now with his head somewhere else, it's highly unlikely he'll be able to turn things around and put in a great season. plus raul likely to leave...i'd say it's at least worth giving a thought. take the risk or do something.

i forgot...khedira also demands 7m € salary!!!

That was only if he was signed on a free, like the agreement he has with Bayern. No transfer fee = much larger wages and signing on fee for the player.

not sure if i get you right sunny...yes, the agreement with bayern would see khedira move for free and get financial bonus for joining bayern. as for the 7m € salary, as far as i understand it, that is what his agent aims to get from real madrid, chelsea or any other club that is according to the agent interested. therfore, if real want to sign him now, they will have to pay some 10m € to stuttgart and splash out a 7m € per year salary. this is the part from AS i'm talking about. maybe i got it wrong

When you move for free clubs can afford giving you a high salary or signing fee as they cost them nothing .
it's a bargaining chip

yes, i understand that...the problem is the 7m € salary. if i understood sunny right (and you, given that you agreed with sunny on the issue), the 7m € salary demand is based on khedira moving for free.

OR, i got sunny wrong and he was only commenting on the agreement issue and not on the salary.

the way i understand it, khedira wants 7m € per year in order to move to real. in order to achieve this, his agent uses the interest of chelsea and the pre-agreement + bonus with bayern.

All Khedira is saying (or his agent) is that he has an offer for a salary of €7mil per year from Bayern and therefore if they want him they will have to offer him something close to that.

so, i'm not wrong about khedira demanding a 7m € salray from real madrid!?

don't know about you guys, but IMO khedira is not worth 7m € a year! off to bayern you go and take VdV with you for all i care.

He might not be worth it, but that is what he has been offered. You can't blame him for asking for the same, or thereabouts, from other suitors.

I'm suprised Madrid is going for Khedira at all...

i don't really blame him sunny...if he really is offered that much by chelsea & bayern respectively, it's only legitimate to ask real to equalize it.

however, being in the situation of the club, i would say bye bye to the player. wouldn't you? or would you give him 7m € a year?

I'm suprised Madrid is going for Khedira at all...

me too, i can't figure out wether this is due to them having followed him constantly and being convinced by his WC performance to finally go for him or wether this is based on his WC performance and cheap price only?

I wouldn't sign him but Mou will need a player like him, so you have to look at the alternatives and what they would cost to bring in.

I think Mourinho will get some something out of the two Diarra's he has sitting there. He likes the double pivot (Makelele/Essien at Chelsea, Cambiasso/Motta at Inter). I think he will push Alonso a bit more forward and take away his defensive duties to create for the three up front. He'll have Di Maria on the wing and the option of Kaka in that Alonso role, dropping one of the Diarra's if necessary. Caneles, Granero, Leon off the bench as well. It is going to be freaky what Mourinho is going to be able to do. Mardid want a trophy and they will take one anyway they can get it this year. They will be hard to break down and vicious on the break. They will win something this year.

---------------Diarra-----------Diarra------------

----------------------Alonso-----------------------

-----Ronaldo-----------------------Kaka----------

---------------------Higuain-----------------------
