Damn.. Gilbert will get his wishes with such a rapid injury list..

now we only have Arbeloa--Carvalho---Ramos-----Marcelo

full stop.. only Lass and Drenthe on the sides ..

based on my experience when players get injured a lot early on this is usually an overload of physical training early in the pre-season.. Jose is to blame

I guess it's going to be Carvalho and Ramos in the middle, Arbeloa on the right? I think they'll be fine, if anything happens to one of the two Arbeloa can also play in the center and Lass on the right...

didint marcelo and some of the player say it was the hardest they ever worked in a pre season? hmm interesting.. bit of pressure i suppose to push them

I only wonder why does Jose get into such a physical training with CBs. Everyone else seems to be in nice shape, I mean it is either the fitness and natural resistance of Pepe, Garay and Albiol before Mourinho came here (have they gotten soft because of not so tough trainings with Pellegrini etc ?) or we are having an issue of Jose being too harsh early on. It is either his fault or the shape centre-backs were left with by the other coaches.

Jose always loved intensive trainings and probably coupled with lazy summer or something .. Pellegrini training was hard as well but not as hard as Jose

Yeah true, but what is the meaning of the defenders being the majority of those that are getting injured in the preseason ? CB training isn't as hard as the CM training or any winger or striker. It mainly involves physical buildup, a bit lighter pace training and defensive skills that go with tactics. CMs and DMs need it all and I don't see anyone complaining yet. All I hope for now is that Carvalho delivers if he's needed and doesn't get injured ! and maybe we can even trust some canterano to help off the bench.

Didn't you notice the subliminal message from the players? 'We enjoy the training because it is very intense' 'We are excited to work with Mourinho who is serious with his intense training' 'Mourinho is a winner and it shows in his intense training' etc...

With someone like Jose ?
you can bet he is working on the team weakness and what's weaker in Real more than the defense ? definitely he push them to the limit and work a lot on the movement , jumping, positioning ..etc

if the training intensity is from 10.. u can bet the defense has 10 in the morning and afternoon , 8 for the midfield and 7 for the forwards

I read all of them but it looks like "Intensity " is an understatement

even if he does win with Real, I'm sure the madridistas are sure not gonna love him for his team's style of play...
if they want "sexy football" like Gullit used to say from Mou, they can keep dreaming...

There is a reason Gulliet is out of work.. those who can't manage work as pundits ;)

everyone said the same about Capello but the last 13 games run that season transformed Capello from public enemy no 1 to a fan favorite

yeah, but I'm not agreeing with this concept of sexy footy, I'm simply saying that Real fans (at least the ones in my country Spain) want to see their team play well.

I'm also talking about the fans in Spain not anywhere else.. those are same guys who insulted Fabio mid season and called for him to stay when we celebrated the title in a dramatic fashion
