that was a very nice interview josé had with AS. a few conclusions can be made i guess as to...
- guti is out, while raul depends on what role the player see himself to be in. starter => out you go. bench player with an important role for the team due to his experience and character => happy to see you stay.
- sergio ramos will have to make peace with the thought of being switched to the CB position permamently. josé claiming he has enough potential to become one of the best CBs says it all.
- josé will not aim to copy previous models like chelsea/porto/inter, but instead he will try to give real madrid its own identity. that being attacking football first, but when necessary, the team will also have to defend...fair enough.
- players like coentrao & di maria are out of the question. the former being like marcelo and di maria not being a resonable signing at a buyclause price of 40m €. on the other hand players like gerrard & lampard gained monumentum.
- kaká will definitly stay.
- i like his words about how he is looking forward to turn a player who had a bad season into a player who will have a great season (very much likely to be kaká) and i also liked josé aiming to make a canterano become a "star" next season who hasn't even been there this season. marcos alonso & pablo sarabia come to my mind. the first would provide something diffrent than marcelo (as wanted by josé) and sarabia would be very usefull in the goal of bringing back the wingplay.
--------------------------
quite interesting things are about to happen. i think, as far as the players are concerned, the most noticable change will be how they train. i remember robben claiming his great form with bayern is due to the training. in spain they would train rather easy, while at bayern they train much harder.
i can see josé changing that dramatically.
