Will hopefully be useful when we finally buy him

Might be that City throw him into the deal for Rodrygo eventually

Arena Sport (for Balkan users) commentator was so bad that he either deliberately mistranslated or purposely lied. When Rodri mentioned Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, this "commentator" said Raul, Casillas..

They can have their "tricks and feints", G/A, Champions League... the ballon d'or is his and they can't take it away no matter what. No ammount of brasilerao/madridista tears will take it away.

Recognition to arguably the most difficult position on the pitch. Recognition to those who contribute without useless dribbles, crosses, tap ins. Playing football is simple, playing simple football is the hardest thing to do.

Congrats to Rodri. Fantastic player with a fantastic season, who deserved to win it.

Vini should not be too upset. Next year is his (unless Lamine takes it, oops).

Will always be a 'it was nothing personal, was a UEFA thing'
Depends how he takes it ofc
That's bullshit. Then some of the Madrid players would congratulate him at least. He's not stupid.

Can only happen if he's hungry for money. But he's playing at City so that's not an option. Or if City gets relegated and he has to go somewhere.

Bullshit or not, depending if he wants to get back to Spain, Barca/Atleti can afford him and/or want him at the time, the only thing stopping him from otherwise joining a team that needs his type in midfield, will be whether he holds a grudge

A pro player rarely lets that stop him, especially when you've been claiming IDGAF about personal accolades for months/years

Last night speech was full of praise for Lamine, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta (all who never won BdO) and the work of the Spanish youth system, de la Fuente. I felt this 80% related to Barca and 0% on Real Madrid. I'm not sure whether Pep was mentioned in the speech, but we can't ignore the fact he got where he's at under Guardiola's guidance.

Doubtful he'd ever join Real Madrid, being Atletico Madrid youth product. And he's no foreigner like Courtois, Rodri is Madrid local very much born into the city's football culture.

Yeah, Real Madrid offers more money and opportunity for trophies, but to play second fiddle as Real Madrid's Busquets in the shadow of Vinicius or Bellingham goals, forget another BdO. Judging they'd be there when the time comes. I'm not saying he's automatic for Barca, he might just continue his career in England.
