Romelu Lukaku

Oh yes, Belgium have amazing players. Really weird considering they have never really had a fantastic squad.
Hazard, Mertens, Chadli, Fellaini, Dembele, Vertonghen, Courtois, Kompany, Vermaelen etc. They have great players, prety much all of a sudden.

Belgium had a great team in the 80s and early 90s. Not as talented as the currect generation but probably a better 'team'.

The current guys are all still early 20's, WC2014 will be too soon I feel, as a team anyway. They'll have a settled team and by EURO2016 I think they can be a force.

Although I agree, if you look at their current first 11, by WC2014 most of them will be rather close to their prime:
Alderweireld (25), Kompany (28), Vermaelen (28), Vertonghen (27), Fellaini (26), Witsel (25), Dembele (26)
But yes, two years later will be even better. The following guys won't be at their prime, but by that time Hazard for example will have been a starter at Chelsea for two years and a Ligue I footballer of the year , which isn't that bad either:
Courtois (22), De Bruyne (23), Lukaku (21) and Hazard (23)

Yeah, I'm all for Lukaku coming back, he's got everything to make it at Chelsea. He's got an amazingly professional attitude and is extremely humble and realistic. If only a lot more footballers were like him.

I'd take the chance on him, and instead sell Torres and buy another backup striker to compete with Ba.

He is still not a world class striker, but he is young and obviously just as good as Torres if not better. Hopefully he gets his chance.

Too many striker rumours going around atm. We want Cavani, almost signed up Schurrle, intersted in Dzeko apparently too. And yeah, Lukaku isn't world class yet(definitely has the potential to be, or close to it), but the rest of the team are good enough to make up for the goals he won't be able to score due to his lack of experience, if he can manage a return similar to what he did at West Brom that'd be pretty good imo.

Nice find! Seems his finishing ability is better than I thought! I wonder what his shots/goal stat is?

Edit: Nevermind, I didn't see the bottom part of the article at the time. :D

Haha yeah, like I said in my edit on the last post I made, I hadn't seen that part of the article yet.

So a goal every 4.7 shots. That's not bad at all considering Falcao at one point was around 3.something and Cavani was on over 5 shots per goal.
