Romelu Lukaku

Pretty much any player in world football views Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich as the pinnacle. The prestige and history behind the clubs with the trophies they’ve won, legendary players that represented them etc will always make them an attractive proposition for any player despite a clubs current situation.

They also use those clubs names to improve their own situation.

He is right about those three being the absolute elite clubs in world football. I wonder what Chelsea and Inter fans think though! As well as PL fans in general! Expect lots of trolling on his twitter page.

AC Milan was once considered the pinacle too and look where they are now. Barca could be in a similar place in 5 to 10 years time.

That’s true but Barca were signing the likes of Cruyff in the 70s where Ajax were winning European Cups and Barca were winning nothing. Got Maradona in the 80s etc.

Certain clubs have a pull no matter their situation ( to a sensible degree of course). Italian football was glamorous in the 90s though for sure.

What was the pull for Cruyff? Money?

Out of the squad against Liverpool due to coach's decision.

Would you take him on loan for 6 months? I would. Especially after seeing the players we're linked with.

But not sure Chelsea will want to get rid of him.

I've always liked Lukaku but I do feel he is a bit of a flat-track bully and is not the difference maker in big games/moments.

He was great with Inter, but made a mistake of going to a Tuchel-coached team. His systems don't suit Lukaku at all who probably sees the writing on the wall.

Sure I would take him on a loan, he is way better than any of the players we have/ we've been linked with. Don't think will be the case though.
