Ronald Koeman

NO

People shit to much on Koeman, remove the individual mistakes for goals conceded, and take into account how horrible we are in front of the goal, and this season would look so much different.
.

This is literally the most ironic comment I have ever seen on here. After all the sh*t Valverde got for Anfield where we made bad individual mistakes for the goals and missed several big chances, a new manager comes in and those who hated on EV now tell us to remove individual mistakes and missed chances from the discussion.

With EV, the only games that were enjoyable were those when Messi turned up his magic. This season even with the worst Messi of the past 15 years, there were games with some beautiful football by the whole team, not just one individual.

like the 5-1 vs Madrid, 2-0 vs Inter, 5-2 vs Valencia, and 5-2 vs Betis?

Lol at people trying to argue that EV's Barca played better football  it was dreadful to watch. Koeman's Barca is mostly exciting to watch both in attack and clownish defense.

Yeah, team was unlucky at Anfield, and super lucky at Camp Nou to win 3-0 against Pool.
So, it evens out right?

Then, you have the whole of EV spell, where it does not even out at all.
Luckiest coach ever in recent history. Messi and Ter Stegen bailed him out week in week out

Koeman's Barca has been more exciting for Madrid fans I'll admit

lol, EV's football was absolutely SHIT. dreadful to watch. he got results, sure, but don't fool yourself or us about the 'quality' of that football. it was bad.

Koeman's is not as bad, but it gets us no results.

Koeman's Barca is definitely entertaining to watch at times this season but it's not exactly exhibition football. Pretty much any team domestically who hasn't been afraid to have a go back, has picked up a result against Barca this season bar the Betis game and I don't really see that changing anytime soon either.

I've got to be honest it's Schreuder that has disappointed me more, considering the reputation he had for tactics and supposedly being very key to Ajax's success with Ten Haag. However, there have already been several occasions where the opposition management have gotten the better of Barca tactically and the choice of substitutions when chasing a result have ranged from chaotic to baffling at times too.

Entertaining for the neutrals more than for Barca fans tbh. Tactics are mediocre, and it doesn't seem like the manager knows exactly what the style of the team is if we have a style at all.

Pretty much end to end stuff with many errors and no control. Not what I have in mind for Barca personally, and I don't think it plays to our strengths at all.

You think the choice and timing of subs is Schreuder's fault and not Koeman's?
In general how much input you think Schreuder has in team tactics and how much Koeman?

Barca have most possession, most % passes and most attempts in league while have less attempts against than both Real and Atletico.

I think there are spells of nerves that all of us focus on and makes it feel more end to end than actually is.

The team is riddled with nerves as times and looks like has too many spells where level drops and doubts kick in and could also say that is on coach. His style is sink or swim more or less and is trusting a lot of young players and not giving easy gteed minutes to older players for most part. Both are good for future of team but dont lead to consistent performances when players are young and coming through or declining.

I don't think it is his fault solely no, as I'd assume they work and decide together on lineups, formations, tactics etc.

However, Schreuder came with a big reputation after working with Ten Haag and Naglesmann and was specifically lauded for his tactical ability. In my opinion so far, when the chips are down the management team have been out-thought on a few occasions already. Not even by genius managers, but the likes managing Cadiz and Eibar.

When plan A is working it's fine, but like I said before, pretty much 90% of the teams that haven't been afraid to have a go has managed something out of the game. Individual mistakes of course happen, but I can barely think of any impactful or meaningful substitutions all season when we've been in trouble. Feel free to correct me on that though.

Not even just the subs though, the starting line-ups have been a game of roulette so far, pretty much Ter Stegen, Alba, FDJ and Messi are main stays, they rest are in and out on a game by game basis. Very difficult for players to gel in a new system when that is the case.

I think RK has too much pride to let his assistant coaches have any say. I don't think Schreuder has any inputs on the tactics or subs.
