Koeman: "At Bayern Munich there is an idea behind the squad. Young talents, a middle-aged group, and players at the end of their twenties. We have old players, nothing in between, and the rest is young." Valverde's price. And Bartomeu.

Memphis, Frenkie, Coutinho, Roberto, MATS, Lenglet are all in between. Griezmann and Pjanic were as well. Try again, dearie.

Coutinho is finished. Roberto finished. Lenglet finished. Griezmann is gone and Pjanic is totally finished.

None of those guys should continue with Barca but few will because lack of options.

What have these players and Koeman got to do with it? There was no continuity, and this is a fact. Who will go to sit under Messi with Suarez? Brait with Prince. Skipped a generation of players. No replacement came.

Old players are finished too, crazy how many finished players barca has. Its impossible for any coach in the world to win big titles with this squad.

Sympathise with Koeman's squad situation but if he's down this bad he's just openly calling the players old and shit in interviews then he needs to go yes or yes because he clearly doesn't have the motivation anymore. We need someone who will give their all right now.

I think it's clear what will happen in the next days, given the leaks we have been reading since the Bayern game

Laporta and Jordi have already made up their minds that they will sack Koeman and trust Martinez to replace him.
They currently have the money to pay 12m to Koeman, and 1.5m to Belgian Federation, thanks to getting rid of Messi's and Griezzy's wages (even if that means less money for the winter transfer window)

When that will happen?
According to what we hear, Martinez does want to compete with Belgium in the Nations League finals (7-10 Oct).
This means that Koeman will be the coach up to the game against Atleti away, after which it will be made public that he is sacked, and Martinez will take over after Oct. 10th and will be the coach against Valencia at home on Oct. 17th

Meanwhile, Koeman knows they will sack him, and judging from the statement today in the press conference,
the next 2 weeks until the Atleti game are not gonna be beautiful...

Managers have been sacked for worse. Leister sacked their manager after winning a title.

Koeman gotta go. He is incompetent.

Don't shoot the messenger. Koeman is the voice of sanity. His latest statements (also those after Granada) are a reality check of where the club is at the moment.

Sorry to say but the only person who will get a reality check is you. Where is the club at? Relegation candidate who struggles to beat granada at can nou?

Koeman can talk shit about the squad all he wants, but we have the players to play beautiful football.

Why sack him, though? Martinez might be marginally better or worse with the squad at his hands. Koeman hasn't done anything particularly bad in these first matches of the season, nothing we didn't know before it started. Hurt Laporta's ego much?

Paying 12m to achieve next to nothing is pointless and bad management.

Should stay imo. Save that money and try to do something in the market with it and a better coach appointment.

If the replacement is Martinez, no doubt. Actually, I'd keep him anyway and let him go in the summer.

Koeman is doing a solid job for the club as manager. Can't give someone a Toyota Prius and then tell them to go win Le Mans.

He has been very clear and thoughtful when you read his interviews. The media (some of it influenced by Barto) are smearing him and pulling out selective quotes. Another manager will likely not provide the renaissance that fans are expecting.

Until there is a clearer threat to top4 in league and top in Cl group, Koeman should be given the confidence to continue by the board.

I mean Koeman is totally right, the squad is obviously very unbalanced and lacks a lot. Little to argue there, Bartomeu fucked up big time because pretty much every transfer since 2014 flopped.

That being said though it's no excuse to play like shit vs a team like Granada and it's also not something the coach should openly discuss.

Disagree about the team playing like shit. Of course the result wasn't good, but it was an enjoyable match to watch and Barca did what they could to try and break down a team parking the bus after an early goal.

I mean with this squad (granted no injuries when all the attackers are back) a good manager should reasonably getting top4. Not good enough squad to challenge for LaLiga except for a big surprise, but with names like Fati, De Jong, Depay, Dembele, you can certainly beat most of the teams in LaLiga. 4th is a target a good manager should hit, forgetting Laporta's delusion of us winning LaLiga.

However the bigger problem with Barca is not the squad *on paper* it's the club culture, how unbalanced it is (in terms of profiles), the team chemistry and other environment related stuff which means we are struggling to beat Getafe and Granada. A happy squad is a winning squad.
