It has more to do with the fact he left flamengo in really bad terms. If he was a hero for them (like he is for fcb), that would never happen.

But being heroes for the nt doesn't count that much here, when clubs are involved. Even Ronaldo was hostilized by the oposition teams, when playing for corinthians. They are acknowledge when it's about the nt, but when it's on club level, not so much.

Wow , for a brazilian crowd doing this to a football player that had a massive contribution to their last World Cup trophy and a big impact on the brazil team overall , it's really sad and pathetic. F**k them !

That Ronaldinho is long gone. You can't live on legacy forever.

True, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get the respect he deserves for what the did in the past

From Barca fans yes, from Flamengo fans? He dogged it most of his time there and left on bad terms. Yes he was a World Cup winner but he was a distant third in importance on that team, the Brazil team that Ronaldinho was supposed to lead in 2006 was a flop.

He deserves respect personally but I think fans are allowed to voice their displeasure with him too.

except he wasnt allowed to lead that team by a idiot coach that was stuck in the past

Yes Brazil's negative tactics hurt his game, but Ronaldinho played with no urgency, even if he wasn't particularly bad. He was hardly the problem with that team but compare Brazil to how Zidane rallied France.

I don't think Ronnie has that personality to pull that off IMO. But WC 2006 did ruin him. If he won 2006 or even advanced to the finals it would have been another Balon D' Or and a possible partnership with the current Messi.

I think Ronaldinho ruined himself, he had no one to blame but him. Many players came back from disastrous performances with their national teams to continue their legacy at club level. The player that propeled Barcelona to international limelight but once he left us he was a shadow of his former self.

you guys can talk all the shit you want.

till this day he is showing the world things they have never seen. he owes no one in the world of football anything.

stop being bitter because he isn't doing exactly what you wish he was.

he is entitled to do what he wants in football; he has earned that much. especially considering that he continues to be one of best and most exciting players in the world.
