I welcome the new Point scoring system on trial in wales. I think Rugby will be better with a 6 point try, 2 point penalty goals and 2 point dropped goals.

3:13 of the Previous Video. Commentator Keith Quinn explains in this web article what happened in this odd but now famous moment as Jonah Lomu scores > > " Lomu!. . . .Oh!! . .Ohh!! "
http://keithquinnrugby.com/quinns-news-comment/its-the-20-year-anniversary-of-the-1995-rugby-world-cup-read-one-mans-view-on-a-great-but-hugely-controversial-rugby-occasion/

" Of course many New Zealander now associate the TV commentary on that game with an 'infamous' verbal stumble I made. Even in 2015 I had to repeat the story on the TV1 news to 'explain' once more how the most-played broadcast I ever did happened.

As I recall the story goes like this; Somehow in the lead up to that semi-final I had an inner inkling that Jonah would score an impressive try somewhere in the game. I therefore pre-planned to be ready with an appropriate ‘headline’ piece of commentary to cover the scoring of such a try.

Plenty of broadcasters use this visualistation technique. For me, I saw what I thought was a pertinent verbal premonition when I jotted down the expression ‘all muscle and pump’ from an American magazine I had been reading. Another writer’s description of a big American basketball player was therefore filed into my mental ‘system’ for use when Lomu’s moment would come. I even tore off a small piece of paper, wrote the quote on it, and attached it to my match notes via a paper clip.

But the greatest of the four Lomu tries in that game took me completely by surprise. I suppose I expected to glance at my great quote sometime in the middle of the game, or at the end. Whatever, I did not expect Lomu to go crashing for the line, brushing over the top of several feeble English defenders in just the third moment of action. When the giant set off carrying the ball in his famous run, I glanced at my notes. But the pre-prepared clipping was not there! It had fallen somewhere. So, distracted, I could only utter “Lomu…oh…oh…’ on the sound track as he scored.

I was initially wild with myself at the cockup but as it has become my trademark piece of commentary in the 20 years since I have come to love it actually. So what the heck I’ll claim it as one of my best moments at the microphone!

Just keep it quiet folks, that it came from a complete stuff-up. "

It is 1999 which makes me cry. Jonah had gone through Kidney troubles and was back for the 1999 rugby World Cup. Although not 100% as he once was. . . . an 80% Jonah Lomu was still a sight to see. People had learned how to better tackle him but once again he scored a magnificent try against England.
I love Keith Quinns comment as he scores "Lomu! again! It's 1995 all over again!"

Japan were so good yesterday, I ain't even mad.

Our team is in shambles. I'd gladly let Japan beat our hopeless team, because they deserved to win. There's some making up to do, but I do not see us going far in this World Cup. IMO this is going to be one of the easiest World Cups for one nation, and that nation is New Zealand.

Of course I'd love to see us recover and actually try to play like a proud national team with top class players, but is that even a realistic expectation after seeing what happened yesterday?

Great win for japan yesterday. Also good start for ireland beating canada 50 odd points to 7.also didi7 i dont think it will be all that easy for the all blacks. History has shown they dont fare overly well at big tournaments. And with the fact they are always playing at the peak of there game i wonder if they have anything left in the tank if needed

The All Blacks will be fit enough. My worry is that our forwards are not good enough. South Africa, Argentina and Australia gave our forwards some trouble at the Breakdown and during scrum time.
I'm feel that an All Blacks World Cup win is more likely than not but the general feeling in New Zealand I have felt is 'We are don't feel as favoured to win as we have felt in previous years'
I mean in 2011 General feelings were high confidence, even though we had failed in the past 5 World Cups.
This time that confidence is not there and alot of the talk is about there being a lot more teams who can actually win it. There is more teams that are a real threat to seriously knocking over the All Blacks. The big six yes but the radio has been talking about Scotland and Argentina as serious threats as well. I mean sure radio stations mention things like that sometimes when they are bored and building up to a game but I have been hearing it regularly. Scotland ran us close last time losing 16-24

I dont mean it in terms of fitness i mean every game the all blacks play they seem to be at there best level so i mean when it comes to the crunch have they anything left to raise there game to the next level to see off opponents

Good win by NZ today. Pumas were terrific in the first half, but it was just a matter of time before the All Blacks would surge through. SBW - what an impact. Wonder if he'll get a start the next couple of matches? Nonu looked out of it from the start.

It would have been interesting to witness another upset, but I guess I'm wishing for too much at once! Looks like a real competitive World Cup this time around.

I think that they will have a trick or two up their sleeves. A team play just as they did in the last World Cup final.

Great game by Argentina, however tactically I did spot a mistake by Argentina >> A shot at goal call when the All Blacks were down to 13 men. Why did they choose the three points instead of setting a scrum and going for a try?
I don't think Sonny Bill Williams will start when it comes to the quarterfinals. I mean breaking up the Ma'a Nonu and Conrad Smith midfield is a huge call. I would prefer the All Blacks keep Sonny Bill as a super sub.
