So pleased I made the trip up to Auckland with 'The Landers Army ' (rowdy student supporters club) to see our mighty Champions the Otago/Southland Highlanders take on the Auckland Blues in the first week of the 2016 Super rugby.
The trip was awesome. First time I have been to 'a city' before (1.5 million people - insane).
The home team won - Auckland Blues 33-31 Highlanders.
So excited rugby is back on. . . . .

That new Argentina side (The Jaguares) had their first game too. . . . .and as expected the Argentina national team packed team won against the lowly cheetahs but it was a slow start. When they got their rhythm they showed just what a threat they will be.

Last night was an intense crowd as a replay of last years final took place in the glasshouse.
The Highlanders edging the Hurricanes near the end 17-16. Was so good!

There was a good battle again in the backline with All Blacks wing Julian Savea being contained by All Blacks Malakai Fekitoa and Ben Smith. It was a good All Blacks battle with the inside backs (No.9 and no.10) as TJ Perenara and Beauden Barret vs Aaron Smith and Lima Sopoaga.

NSW Waratahs 26-30 Highlanders in sydney. The Highlanders leading 0-22 at halftime extending it to 0-30 before the Waratahs scored 26 unanswered points and almost embarraced the Super Rugby Champions.

Very promising prospect for the All Blacks for future years.

There is just this awesome manliness that comes with going to Rugby games. It has actually helped me enjoy football more because when you come from something that is so manly to something like football that is filled with such beauty. . . . .it makes me really appreciate Football. What better example of Beautiful football than Attacking football.
