To be fair he rarely rested since he got back from his injury.
We can afford to rest him and what's weird is how little action Verm has gotten despite him being in top form even Umtiti came back. Not sure why Valverde is afraid of resting Umtiti, it's not like Verm is crap.

He's much more replaceable than Barca fans think. His profile is very much common. If any defender is difficult to replace then it's Pique. He's Beckenbauer of modern football. If anyone wants to know his defensive ability, watch the last supercopa match. Best defensive performance I've ever seen. (Can't fault him for the own goal considering the reaction time he was given).

We have never missed him any time he's been out of the lineup. Verm comes and and makes us forget about Umtiti in minutes and is doing a better job of late as well.
