That's what the commentators kept saying during his presentation, but when they asked Umtiti about it as he was coming off the pitch he seemed pretty non-committal about it.

Why should a plebe like Aleix Vidal get the 22 anyways? If Umtiti wants it because of Abidal, he should get it. Vidal only has it as a randomly assigned number...

If douglas leave, Vidal could get the #2. Or give it to him anyway, and give douglas whatever number is left.

I don't think Douglas will even get a number, will he? The club won't even be registering him if we can't get rid of him.

I've seen numerous tweets from Barcastuff and similar accounts saying he won't be, and the club is trying to give him away for free (To no avail, lol), so it'd make sense. He doesn't actually play for Barca.

He is a Barça player, whether we like it or not. And I'm sure they'll register him, if he stays.
