Interesting results , quite a statement for the voters...

Players decide the vote not the presidential candidate character ..
not so different from the Madrid elections than ..

Perez would walk all over the elections if he ever ran for the post

Yet Sandro is way out in front in the opinion polls taken by the Catalan press. At the moment there are two "continuity" candidates, one backed by Laporta the other not. Bear in mind that the people on here have a different set of criteria for the club than those who will actually get to vote.

and that's what I'd like to know.

for members of this forum, the main priority is obviously the health of the football team. which would lean towards laporta and villa. does the football transfer issue hold as much weight amongst actual members?

mind you, I'm just speculating regarding laporta and villa, because all the candidates seem to have an intense rodney for cesc. which is good, but, really, villa would be a much better signing (and too old to do the job? you guys need to stop playing FM).

The Reckoner
they are different players, and there is also the 2 months+12 months because he didnt play for us this year

I know it's a year later but I doubt we'll be paying nearly 70m Euro for Villa tbh. It'll still be good business.

i think the members of here would make better voters than those who can actually vote, who its seem will go for Sandro and cesc who we don't need at all at the moment.

I think that JDS/Thiago need to be properly evaluated first ... so I voted for Laporta-clone & Villa.

I'd really prefer Sandro and Villa though.

The "Sandro & Cesc" option doesn't exist in reality, neither does the "Godall & Villa" option, it's a hypothesis put forward by Meta. What people on here seem unable to grasp is that there is no Laporta II, there is Alfons Godall who is a total lightweight and by many accounts a very disagreeable character who makes Laporta look like a bastion of democracy.

Plus I would't put so much emphasis on a single signing. And even then, you never know will they actually deliver. For those who don't remember Laporta promised Beckham.

Of course Meta test driving the members before the virtual election manifesto is a big possibility for the topic

Both would be awesome signings, best possible two. However i leaning slightly towards Cesc. A healthy, productive central midfield is much more important for our game than who is standing upfront.

Im also not sure how a more classic striker would do on the left flank. Messi on the right is lately moving more up lately, trying to get into scoring situations, even ignoring Ibra on many occasions. Villa to me is more of a poacher than a creator, and i dunno if that would work out. You see how Henry is doing currently. Its not only for Henrys lacking form, but also b/c of Messis and also Ibras very dominating style. You could see a good game from Henry when Messi wasnt on the pitch vs Sevilla.

It might ofc get to work in the end, if some changes are incorporated ... its just that i am unsure ...

villa is easily the more desirable signing. and Z, yeah he'd join to play LF. it's not like we have a static attack, he'd get oodles of goalscoring chances. but I dunno if we'll sign him or, more pertinently, if valencia will sell.

No, he wouldn't. Not when he can be the main striker at Madrid or some top EPL club. He has to be a passionate culé or REALLY want to play for us to be willing to sacrifice his natural position when he can do just that elsewhere.(considering he was so close to joining Madrid last summer, i don't see it happening. Villa 'll always do whats best for him)
I don't see him joining us for the following reasons-
-He doesn't figure in Pep's plans anymore
-Valencia'll not sell him to us
-We won't be the highest bidder for him.

As much as i want El Guaje to be a barca player, it won't happen. :(
