The transfer itself cost €57,1m, but if you include everything else like wage, signing fee and agent fee, it cost Barca €86,2m. No one ever includes the players wage, signing fee, agent's fee etc in the transfer fee itself though, if they did you would be seeing really big numbers flying around. What was Bale's again? 265m? Yeah, keep those things separate.

It says 86 without wages.

It's not including the 44M direct wage, but it is including the 10M signing bonus and the 2.7 agent commission.

The bottom line is the signing itself cost the 57.1M that was always reported. The rest are wages and agent commissions, transactions surrounding the signing, and other investments.
