Sandro Rosell

I'm not sure if I got this right, but Rosell considering to take Laporta to court, for the claims made in Laporta's book that was released on Wednesday? Laporta having claimed that Sandro was in for a 10m euros in commissions, had the Ronaldinho to Chelsea move gone through.

I have not seen a topic regarding his person, so here it is (I am sorry, if it already exists).

According to Sport he is going to present his project today. Will be exiciting to hear his plans.

Mundo Deportivo is claiming that Sandro has the idea to offer Pep a 6-year contract, if he wins the elections.

By the way, he said on his pressconference that he's going to cancel all the connections with Uzbekistan, build during Laporta's time.

Whilst I like a lot of what Rosell has to say I'm quite concerned about the massive division he's causing amongst the membership, a month or two ago I was certain I'd vote for him however now I'll be taking a very serious look at what Marc Ingla sets out as his vision for the club

Transfers
If Pep agrees, we will always support the transfers. But from experience, we know that signing players before elections could cost you 30 to 50 per cent more than when you do it after them, so you should take that into account.

Begiristain
We don't want to talk about which people should stay or leave because that's something you should do from 14 June on. If it's true that Txiki leaves, we have candidates to fill his place.

Higuain
Having a deal with Higuain would mean we're not thinking about Barça but about other things. No, that rumour is not true.

Elections
The favourite in the elections is always the continuity candidate, whoever that may be this time because I admit I'm a bit lost.

Cruyff
We will talk with him about how he sees his task as honorary president but the members will also have their say.

Pedro and Jeffren
We went to sign them in Tenerife for 30.000 euro each.

Palau
We'll build a new Palau with 10.000-12.000 seats and a little Palau with 2.000-3.000 seats.

Guardiola
I don't think it would be good that candidates claim Guardiola just to make a good impression on the club members. But it's a fact that he's a good friend of mine for about 20 years.

We won't agree with everything he proposes. He didn't sign yet but he gave his word and I'm sure that he will stay. But we'll only agree with his proposals if we like them. If he asks something we don't like, we won't follow him. But we know that everything he will ask will be reasonable. If we win,we will reach an agreement in 15 minutes.

I would want him to stay for many years. A bit like Ferguson, although then I'm talking about the time in office not about the function.

Economic situation
If we're elected, we will do audits and of course explain to the members, who is the owner of the club, the real situation, no matter who would or would not be happy with that.

Uzbekistan
It would be contradictory to have Unicef on your chest and have deals with countries like Uzbekistan. If those deals exist, we will immediately cancel them.

New technologies
The 2.0 technologies will be very important to communicate with the club members.

Torres
There's nothing.

Barcelona Atlètic
If the team promotes to the second division, they will play the main home games at the Camp Nou.

Ronaldinho commission
No comment, I refer to the press release we've put out.

Electoral pacts
We won't make a deal with anyone.

Foster project
We won't maintain the project and given the current cost of that, no one else will do that either. It's impossible. We nevertheless want to remodel and cover the stadium.

Radical fan groups
I congratulate president Laporta for the courage decision to keep them out of the stadium.

Oliver
We think it's unacceptable that the general director of the club uses money of the club members to investigate directors of the club.

Current Barça
Regarding the sports area, this is the best Barça in history. Economically and socially it is not.

Limiting number of members
We will not cut the number but we will regulate the entrance of new members. The current system doesn't work. New technologies will help in this area.

His opinions on the Foster project are just wrong. Ignorant idiot.

As time goes by more and more I get a feeling that I don´t trust the guy. Sounds shallow perhaps but he just comes accross that way.
He says the right things mostly, as everyone else does but my impression is it`s too much about ambition for him.

Well the language he uses to describe the Foster project would indicate to me he has a major hang up about undermining Laporta. To ridicule what is a fantastic plan and plain lie with "impossible" to suggest incompetence and ridicule the leaving management isn't a good sign.

Instead he seems interested in a monument to his own ego and building a totally un-needed new basket ball arena with money that was rightly going to be used to improve Camp Nou.

Well there's a large sector of the fanbase that thinks the Foster project is an abomination and no more than a monument to Laporta's ego. I would speculate that the word "impossible" relates to the financial state of FC Barcelona which is dubious to say the least and actually the plan is impossible unless the city authorities agree to the reclassification and sale of the mini estadi land, a move opposed by local residents.

You obviously have never visited the Palau Blaugrana. It's the worst arena in the entire ACB. To say it's un-needed shows a complete ignorance of both the facility and the needs of FC Barcelona beyond the football side. We do need a new Palau, we need a far bigger multi-sports facility and we need it more than we need to improve the Camp Nou. The best basketball side in Europe and Spain shouldn't be playing at a poxy arena which offers no comfort or facilities to teh majority of supporters and is sadly inadequate in terms of capacity.

I don't care what the Barcelona electorate think, the majority are not building professionals so their opinion is irrelevent to me. I wouldn't question a doctor about medical advice, why people think their opinion matters when it comes to building is beyond me.

The fact is Camp Nou is big, and nothing more, and needs that upgrade. I'm sure you wouldn't be satisfied in a few years time when the new stadiums of Athletic, Valencia, Atletico, Sevilla, Betis and Deportivo add to the Bernabeu in being far superior to Barcelona's stadium, not just in facilities for players and fans, but economic activity also.

To say the cost is impossible while still going ahead with a roof (the expensive part of the upgrade) + 2 new basket ball arenas is even more ridiculous.

I never said improvements weren't needed to the current basket ball facility. But the fabric of the builkding is fine, or if it is indeed too small, the Palau St Jordi is a perfect large venue that the city of Barcelona is keen to find a use for. There is certainly no need to build an expensive new arena for what, compared to football, will never be as an important or source of income, sport for the club.

At best its replacing one monument of ego with another, atleast the former was going to pay for itself in time.

You don't need to be a building professional to realise the Foster design is minging.

On the subject of the Palau, the fabric of the building isn't fine, you can't even watch basketball properly from half of the stadium because of supporting pillars and poor sightlines from the entire upper tier. I understand your suggestion of the Palau St Jordi but that venue is used regularly for music events, Davis Cup tennis, other indoor sports events. A full season of basketball and the rest of the indoor sports wouldn't work there in my opinion.

A renovated Palau will pay for itself in time given increased ticket sales, more income from VIP boxes etc that a modern facility would provide. Basketball is massively popular in Barcelona but at the moment we don't have a facility that is good enough to take advantage of that popularity. The simple fact is that a renovation of the Camp Nou can wait, a new Palau can't, and it's not a question of ego because it's the easiest thing in the world to ignore the other professional sections of FCB. We're more than a football club and that means any prospective president has to recognise the needs of the basketball side and its fans.
