Laporta's presidency brought a wonderful stability to our club. He set us off on a path that made Barcelona the best football team in the world by the end of his term. Now, under Rossell, the club is moving forwards, to not only be home to several world-beating sports teams, but to becoming a model of financial health and long-term sustainability. Laporta created an era, Sandro is creating the future.

I am positive that because of Sandro's actions we will be able to witness the realisation of all the ambitious plans the Laporta board had (such as a fantastic new stadium), but never had the means of doing.

I hope you are right. If it's for the good of the club, let's get it over with. But is there a guarantee that Roselle's plan will be positive for the club in the future?

Clearing debt, building business connections - i think in the modern world these are both important in terms of a positive future for the club.

You are making it sound like Barcelona was some rinky dink club until the Qatar deal. We were one of the 4 richest clubs in Europe and had the second highest revenue behind Real Madrid. The debt was an issue, but it's hardly a unique one, I'm sure if we saw Real Madrid's debt figures they would be shocking.

New sources of revenue have their obvious advantages but I personally think trying to sell off naming rights shows how nothing is sacred to Rosell, especially after cutting off membership. The man is an opportunist, a shrewd businessman but he's had a history of doublespeak.

If i am doing so then that's my mistake because i definitely don't think that's the case.
I just view Rossell's moves as being fundamental in moving forwards. It's a massive change, and a big developmental point in the existence of the club. It's definitely not a turning point, because that would be to suggest that the club has been doing bad. But i definitely think that in the future people will be able to look at this point and say, this is when Barca integrated more explicitly into the modern football world. And it will be a generation of Barca fans looking at a fantastic Barca with better facilities, better catering to the fans, a better stadium, and on the field success.

He has pretty much cancelled the stadium improvements Peter. He did put together a video of a new upgrade for Camp Nou which showed all new facilities and a roof even, but the budget he set aside for it is meagre, and would struggle to build the new basket ball arena he says he would, let alone all the other stuff as well.

This was all a week after he won btw and I said he was a liar, simply could not keep his promises on those figures, no one picked up on it though as any building figures sound alot to most people. But it stuck out for me, it was the equivalent of saying he would sign Fabregas, Pato and Maicon with a budget of 15M€.

Yeah it's a fake. That's the worst design ever. Plus the tree is too low to be seen if a player tucks his shirt in..
