Sandro Tonali

70m for Sandro is good money for Milan though. It is what it is and most clubs in Serie A and Spain can't perform extreme debt load like the British ones do.

Maybe they can get someone like Nicolo Rovello for half of that and rebuild again.

This signing should make any connoisseur of European football sick to his stomach. The great AC Milan, one of the 3 greatest clubs in history, having one of its best players, plucked by perennial relegation dogfight merchants until mega money Arab money came in.

And we know that if he flops they will just sell him for 80m to a Saudi Arabian owned entity which also has a share in Newcastle themselves. No consequences for failure.

It's as depressing as when Villa signed Diego Carlos last season. I've never been as disinterested in football as I am now. The sport is on life support. It may be spreading in new markets (Asia, Arabia, USA), but those who have been football fans for decades are drifting away.

Such a shame that he has to leave Milan, and the worst of all he goes to a state funded club.

Would have loved to see him at Barca, in a double pivot with Frenkie and Pedri in front of them.

Newcastle going to be a lot stronger next year. Tonali and possibly Barella added to an already excellent midfield of Guimeares + Joelinton.
Howe will have to keep getting the results

It's really a matter of time before the old ,historic clubs fade away and the new, state funded clubs dominate. This is UEFA'S fault really. Just letting European clubs and leagues get torn apart while they do nothing. The Gulf states are here to stay. Look at City. Newcastle have also adopted a more prudent, long term strategy like City. They are in it for the long haul and have the cash to spend.

It's inevitable. Old historic clubs were just the financially backed clubs of millionaires before anyways.

Uefa already killed most of the historic clubs like Ajax by increasing the foreigners from 3.

What difference does it make if Barcelona, Madrid and Milan join them and become feeder clubs for Accrington Stanley, Wrexham and Torquay?

As Plato once famously said, video killed the radio star, and youtube killed the video star.

Apparently Newcastle will loan Ruben Neves to replace Tonali, if his ban is confirmed.

Effectively this means all the Saudi Fund teams players in the Saudi League can be sent to Newcastle should need be
