is he ever going to play in the Premier League?

I had in my fantasy team right after they signed him. He didn't play for like 3 weeks so I got rid.

I think Kenny is slowly integrating him into the team. For now I'd say he's our 4th choice centre back, though expect him to be in the first team very, very soon. I mean he will play in the cups and be on the bench in the league for now.

So I think next season we'll see more of him.

There are no english plugs ahead of him one scouse plug, one slovak plug and one Danish plug and the Slovak and the Dane proved tonight that they are in pole position for a reason.

Coates will get his opportunity, this year should be a learning curve for him and one of transition into the life and culture of the club and the country.

I had really high hopes for this guy as well. It's a big shame though. He had huge potential as well, it's just a big shame because we all thought he would be a decent (or good) defender. He obviously couldn't hack it at Liverpool after he left his dire Uruguayan league. I'm guessing he will either join some other crap league... or retire.


He wasn't good enough for Liverpool or the National team.. One day I hope he returns and joins Wolves. (Wishful thinking).

I wonder if we'll ever get to the bottom of the greatest debate of them all; who's the bigger talent: Coates or the mighty Phil Jones? I mean, Coates doesn't have "the ball playing skills of Jones"?! Ah, good ol' 2011.

Anyhow, off to Sunderland with Coates, so I suppose Phil wins this round...

They are both mediocre really. Coates has more brains but lacks mobility, Jones is just clumsiness personified.
