Yeah, he had some stomach issues, as does Janmaat. They, along with Nigel de Jong and Ron Vlaar, shall be tested tomorrow. So yeah, he might not feature. He's not in great shape anyhow, judging from his woeful Heskeyesque performance against Costa Rica, so RVP might not be missed that much. I'd rather be able to use Vlaar and De Jong, to be honest.

I dont believe a word of it. I think it's mind games to distract the opponent and bluff them. RVP will play you will see.

I wouldn't rule that out either; I was just reporting the things the Dutch media told. RVP will probably play even when he's not fully fit, since he's the captain of the team.

The camel is :shit: Predicted the Germany-Brazil game wrong. It probably predicted Argentina-Holland incorrectly too.

Octopus from 2010 is still the GOAT :worthy:

If anything The Germany-Brazil game will open some eyes and kick Argies into giving their all

Even Maradona-managed Argentina> this Brazil. and we know how Maradona had zero tactical plan and as much as Argentina looked like a joke back then, they received only 4 from 2010 Germany that was better than 2014 Germany. Brazil took 7. so lets not draw comparisons. Hopefully Sabella knows what he is doing and last night's game will be a blessing for them and making them mentally stronger.

I hear RVP is ill and might not play?

Well the Oranje aren't playing Estonia or Andorra so I doubt v.Persie will be involved if he is on the pitch. I hope he is ill so Huntelaar gets a chance to prove he should to start.

v.Persie is phenomenal for club but unless Oranje are playing minnows (all due respect) he is doubtful to play a part in the match. I'm surprised he has 3 goals in this tourny, he can thank Casillas for one of them.

I think missing Di Maria might actually be blessing in disguise for Argentina. This is one match where Argentina needs to defend well. Enzo Perez will give more stability to the midfield. This is the line up I'd go with

-----Lavezzi-------Higuain------
--------------Messi------------
-----Enzo-----------Biglia------
-----------Mascherano---------
Rojo/Basanta--------------Zabaleta
----------Garay---Demichelis-----

Later Aguero can be subbed on. Lavezzi, Enzo should do well to contain Robben.

I think Netherlands has got the first chance but if Messi and Argentina step up they have their chances too, unlikely to happen though imo. Hope Messi does wonders.

Has Holland faced a counter attacking team uptil now. Although the Argie team haven't been clicking but if they pick it up from now it'll cause many problems for the Dutch defense which has been shaky to say the least
