You'd think Aurier was 10 years old, reading that. Educating young players.
Aurier a better player than Alves or Lahm have ever been? Serge isn't fit to lace their boots.
in defense yes, not in attack, but in defense better than both by far.

He is doing that in a different league that is widely considered inferior to any league the other players are playing at . Nevermind he is yet to play a champions League play off game in his career
He has long way to prove his worth over those two.
statistics refer to the Champions League...Alves has always been decent at best in defense and Lahm has physical limits. Aurier read the game better than Alves in defense, and physically is much stronger than both. In arial duels is in another level. You speak about the carrer I speak of what they can offer in the field now and Aurier is better than both in this moment, maybe not better than Alves in attack, but much better in defense.
few times I saw a full-back as Aurier. He is not too high, because otherwise it would has mechanical difficult to stop players small and quick and at the same time he is very physically strong to counter the tall players especially in arial duels. He can beat his man in 1 vs 1 and his an amazing crosser.
I don't think it would be good at Barca as Alves, the brazilian is much more skillfull but in others teams where the full-back is a real full back he is perfect. It would be perfect for Bayern of Ancelotti, would form a devastating fullbacks duo with Alaba.
Ps:Aurier was the best right back even in the last work cup.

Ah, I misread your post. My mistake.
I disagree as Luiz was bought because of his skill set. He isn't a different player at PSG, he's playing in a system more suited to abilities. People scoff at his fee but clubs would be bidding comparable and larger sums on comparable or better players if they were available.

Your sample for the stats are 3 games?And you go from 3 games to say Aurier is better defensively than Alves and Lahm?
I have seen all the season of Aurier, however not needed 100 games to figure out who is good in defense and who is better.
Alves is perfect for Barca, but in other teams who suffer the opponent and don't have 70% of possession and the organized pressure of Barca, Alves would often be a disaster.

You didn't watch prime Alves enough. He was a pitbull in defence. Nobody would have said anything if you said Aurier is better RIGHT NOW defensively than Alves. That could very well be. But you made a mess out of it when you added the phrase "Alves ever was". Alves cost 30m. pounds back in 2008. That's a lot, world record fee for a defender at the time. By comparison, Aurier cost PSG £7.50m in today's market. Prime Alves right now would be rated at about ten times that price.
Prime Alves is better than Aurier at everything related to football.

Alves will not be fully appreciated by cules until he is gone or too old. He is the best Barca defender ever in the offensive end. He shows how to play the 6 second rule. He is also excellent defending one on one, especially vs. CR7. There are FBs better in the air, and who will score more goals. But for Barca, the FB you want is Alves.

I agree that it has been blown out of proportion. Even Zlatan himself has said worse things. Not to mention cases like Benzema..
Cr7 is not a great dribbler never has been. Aurier completely overshadowed jese and cr7 in both legs. I agree for Barca is the best but I don't consider him even a fullback, he has always been more a wingback

I don't remember a video where Zlatan & Benz insulted their respective coach + teammates in the same term as Aurier did
And speaking of the latter, he was cleared for the Zahia Dehar case.
Also, it seems he'll be able to contact with Valbuena and play in French NT.
It's fully understandable why the Periscope scandal has got a massive attention and rightfully so.

Aurier was just making jokes about his teammates (even if they were disrespectful) on broadcast.
I didn't even mention John Terry impregnating his teammate's gf. Rooney cheating on his fiance and wife.

Aurier was absolutely not making jokes. He was as serious as braindead can be. Also he most likely didn't know he was being broadcasted, so no idea where your "take" comes from
Yes [MENTION=15262]serghei[/MENTION] he didn't cost much to PSG but he was also underrated/underpriced at the time. One of the reasons i wanted him for barca when he played for Toulouse.
I doubt Aurier will play again for PSG's first team, and his stupidity should bring his price down to 20-30m, a bargain from a football perspective.
If Aurier didn't seem actually retarded and also pro madrid i would be hellbent on getting him right now.
But -don't know if this went mainstream on english media- Aurier already insulted a ref in a video once (the whole thing was nothing compared to his current problems though) and you guys should know that Aurier's agent was away last week and went through the ordeal of finding him a chaperon in his absence because Aurier apparently can't be left alone for a day.
Turns out the chaperon was also absent on the day Aurier made that video.
It's hilarious that the guy failed despite so many failsafes
