Sergi Roberto

Worst match of the season by a country mile by him.

He was lucky Vidal and Paulinho were terrible as they will take most of the heat from it, But he was just awful. Poor going forward,Poor defending which led to some situations that could have sent him off.

He can go past people when the game really opens up,especially when players are tiring. Other than that he has nothing. Wouldn’t do any better than Rakitic in midfield.

Probably his best Barca performance was Betis away, he's then followed it up by being utter shit since. But for the 90000th time, he isn't a right back.

Yeah, people get far too carried away with him, thinking he's some kind of midfield messiah. But as was stated a few posts above, his best (and indeed only real attribute) is his bursting runs, which are effective when the game's stretched, but not so most of the time. Doesn't have the technique/passing/vision/positional play to be a first team mid at Barca, though maybe he'd be decent enough as a RM option, though personally I can't wait to see the back of this formation. Definitely he's not a right back. Good squad player though. Like him a lot in that regard. But he's nowhere near as good as some would like to believe.

Compare him to a player like Lucas at Madrid, is Roberto really any better? If not for his La Masia upbringing,he would’ve been sold years ago.
