Sergi Roberto

I will never understand how "fans" can be so toxic to their own players. The stuff you guys write you'd never say it to their face. It's so easy for y'all to hide behind your screens and keyboards. I know I'll get attacked for pointing this out, which will only serve to prove my point.

And I'm not just saying this in regards to Sergi, but all the other players in the squad who have hit a rough patch as of recent. Though clearly he's the one that gets the brunt of it.

In 10 years you guys will still be here talking a bunch of crap, the only difference being it'll be directed towards Pedri, Araujo, Nico, Gavi and Puig.

Same injury area as last time. Wouldn't surprise me if he retired after this contract or at most played in USA

No need for 10 years. 2 years of no result then you will see.

Don't blame the players for the wages they're on, blame the people who gave them the contracts and in the case of Roberto trying to renew them. It's not a player's fault they got offered a good contract and expect them to go somewhere else and make 80% less is just not how it works in football, it's a business, we treat our players as assets so they'll make business decisions as well. In the case of Ilaix he was abused and hounded because he wanted to go somewhere else after his contract expired lol, no doubt with a ton of Laporta propaganda in the mix.

After a player signs a good deal they're not gonna pack up and go somewhere else for a fraction of the pay at the whim of Laporta, especially him, who treats his players in the worst way, signing players with 300 mil release clause and selling them after a month because he got a decent offer. The players are employees

You got to remember the only one stopping the renew is Roberto and his agents and it doesn't appear we are going to reopen talks any time soon.

There were rumors he had higher offers elsewhere and he doesn't to take a pay cut and wants a longer duration in contract years. He's more out than in at the moment and I doubt Laporta will cave.

I wouldn't even Discuss their performance or critique them in anyway if I was to ever meet them, the same as most other posters/fans - for many obvious reasons.... This is a forum where you can discuss, vent and take out your frustrations on how a team or player is performing for the club you watch and support.

Do some people direct abusive vitriol towards players or go over the top in their criticisms, they sure do but limiting the amount/type of criticism to only what would be directly said to a player is absurd.

This guy is shameless. Always put in a bracket with bousquets and pique and this guy started thinking he is a legend. Son of a bitch.

You're welcome
Roberto can stay on board for all I care. Is still decent squad player. But it's the wages that are the issues. He's getting overpaid for what he contributes.

Shameless.

Shameless.

If
1) his wages are recuded to the level of a bench player
2) he is not a starter
3) whenever he plays, he plays as a md and not a RB

then, I don't mind him staying
