Awesome move by Lucho and Barto. Send talented Barca kids to rot and and spend 100 million on bench players who show nothing better than those same kids.

Come on now,Samper was starter under Paco ( a coach that everyone wanted him to be the coach of the loaned players b/c of the way he plays) in 4 out of 6 games with one of the other 2 he had an injury.
Samper problem was Busquets not the bought players tbh.
And if he failed to regain his starting spot in the worst and youngest Liga teams then saying he is better than players we bought is a stretch to say at least.
I can get such statement for Munir case, but Samper? he is supposed to be in a perfect situation to get Liga exposure

Get him out of there in January. Would be better to use him here than have him wasting his time there.

He already wasted his time in a Barca B led by Eusebio who only cared about results rather than developing players, which you know, the Barca B team actually is all about.

I'm not sure if he'll be good enough for the 1st team, but we sure as hell shouldn't let him crash and burn somewhere else. I was incredibly annoyed by Lucho's comment when asked about him. 'I got my players to worry about, do I have to worry about other players too?'

Yes, you do. He's still *your* player. The club's player and its responsibility to ensure its best talents are developed the right way and properly.

Samper played his best football (professionally) under him,In fact he looked like the next super star in his full season with Eusebio .
I don't think Samper wasted any time in Barca B and in fact he needed every minutes he played there, but if he wasted any time their surely it isn't with Eusebio, may be last season or his time under Vinyals.
As for Lucho comment I think it is about not interfering with other coach job. he can't tell the other coach what to do with a player in his squad.
As for Samper himself I am torn about his situation,I hope he get minutes but if he can't be starter in the worst team in the league then something is clearly wrong.
I don't rate him highly, but surely think he is good enough for even better teams than Granada.

Let's be honest and admit that this kid is just not good enough. He is almost 22 and if he can't play in the worst team in La Liga sorry guys but he is fore sure not Barca first team material.

Unfortunately this will end in another loan and than with a sale to Malaga or Betis or something like that. This guy is a clear exaple of mismanaged potential.

Same thing happened with Deulofeu and Halilovic. I am afraid that our managers in B team are doing really bad job and some huge potentials are lost when going trough B team. I would also say that the biggest problem with Halilovic and Deulofeu was total tactical ignorance and very bad defensive play but with Samper it's like just entire package isn't good enough.

He is a bit slow, he doesn't do well when pressed, his long passes are in many cases misplaced, he is bad in defending and his scoring capabilities are bellow every possible level.

Many players from his generation and younger already have a big amount of la liga expirience (Saul,Asensio,Denis,Kovacic etc.) and we are still talking about his big potential. If he loses this entire year on the bench than he is done for Barca. I am sad because of that but it's a reality.

He can't play for us, he's not good enough. There comes a point where every player has to take care of himself. The club gives you the platform to succeed, but you have to do the hard part on your own. A bit classless from Lucho that he responded like that, but he's right. If Samper can't make a room for himself at Granada, one of the weakest teams in the league, there's not much hope for him.

Like with Halilovic, teams like Granada and Gijon have little use for technical players who can create. They spend so much time defending that they will always tent to use players that do well in that department, even in more advanced positions.

Not so sure going from a team that is used to creating and having the ball almost all the time, to a team that is the exact opposite, is the way forward.

Sounds like Busquets, doesn't it?

I mean if he doesn't even get to play that much for whatever reason, how can he improve? He needs more consistent playing time to show us whether he has the potential to be a Barca first team or not. I think it is too early to say that right now.

I do agree with serghei that Granada might not have been the ideal team for him to go to. Perhaps Rayo in the Segunda division?

Sarcasm?

Granada the were best for him under Paco but his firing changed everything,I don't know who is Rayo coach now and I am not sure what type of game he is playing. But Samper already have enough Segunda experience

Halilovic still managed to start and end the season as a starter with Gijon even if he got benched more in the end, that is what I expect from Samper this year tbh and probably from Alen too if he took care if his fitness problem with HSV.
May be if he gets interest from another club in January then we could mutually terminate the loan and move him there sort like we did with Montoya but hopefully with better future

Samper's not included in the line-up or at the bench when Sporting Gijón plays against Real Sociedad within 30 minutes.
