Just watching that always feel he lacks a bit of arrogance on the ball. Seem a bit timid and not relaxed on the ball a lot of the time.

If Gomes or Arda had to earn their place the way these Masia kids did we wouldn't have a team though.

Gomes is struggling with Barça's playing style but Samper is not better at all. Did some of you even watch Gomes before he joined Barcelona?

Gomes has proven he won't work here while Samper has yet to get that chance.

On the other hand, Gomes has proven that he can be a quality player elsewhere (Valencia, Portuguese NT).
Samper on the other hand, struggled to prove that he can be a starter in a bottomtable La liga side.
No matter how we twist it and play wordgames:
1. Gomes has some potential as a footballer, but is a horrible fit for Barca
2. Samper seemed like a kid with potential 5+ years ago, but since then turned into very mediocre player and stagnated (NOT only because Barca didn't give him chances. Some guys just stagnate and never reach their potential).
Not to mention that he is the most scared footballer ever, he is sloppy, he slips all the time like Alexis.
And he is very slow and weak physically in 1 vs 1 duels.
Plus, he is not good enough for a Cdm, and he is a very strange fit for a Cm with his strange longpasses-style of a game.
In short, instead of focusing on Gomes/Samper/Denis and similar guys, we should just focus on some new La Masia kid or just buy some new youngsters and hope for more luck next time.
Debate: Gomes/Denis/Samper is the same as: who is better and who should play for Barca: Sandro/Munir/Adama/Deulofeu/Halil.

Did you see any of Granada's games last season? The team was complete fucking mess and was doomed to relegate from the beginning. There was no chemistry what so ever between the players since 70% of the squad were loanees and none of them did well.
Loaning Samper to Granada may have seemed like a good idea in the beginning with Paco Jemez taking over the team but after he was sacked everything changed. It would of been a miracle if Samper had had a succesful season at Granada so you cant judge him based on his time there. Samper has always showed potential whenever he got chances to play with the first team at Barca and he deserves a full season here to prove whether he's the real deal or not.
