how much football do you people watch? mascherano is a perfectly capable passer of the ball and if given enough time he can rake off some pretty impressive long-range passes as well.

Meta mentioned long-range passes, which he is not good at. The fact that he can get about one of those right out of the ten that he tries doesn't make him a good passer. And we were talking about his supposed playmaking abilities which wuzu brought up, not his ability to pass the ball to someone that's about a yard away from him.

Mash was already known as good short passer and recently he shows that he's also a good enough long range passer as well.
he's still improving.once he gets use to go forward(which he can if he needs to) he will be our next Edgar Davids(or even better defensively).

Dont see why not. Extra competition should push him on. They could also start together in some games as well, not necessarily one or the other.

People here seem to really underestimate Busi's passing abilities!! If both Masch & Busi are to play together its Busi who is going higher up the pitch. Some of his better performances during the treble season had been when he was given freedom to dwell on the ball with Yaya providing the security for the defense.
Busi has got some killer passes in him guys, he doesn't go for them frequently doesn't mean he can't! He is just doing what he's been told to by the boss!!

Sergio is in thee top 5 DMs in the world, it would bee difficult for anyone to displace him from the team as his skill and passing ability are brilliant, he is almost the perfect DM for us.
