If you read the comments on MD and Sport, no one is happy about a potential renewal. It can't be too long until the goodwill is gone and Busquets receives the Pique treatment- boos.

That may curve any renewal ideas the board may try to plant in his head.

But yeah, apart from Xavi loving Busquets and not having the desire to try and take a new Enzo like Maximo Perrone and try to mold them to the position, the board are probably intent on renewing to both lower the salary cap and also remove any clauses Busi may have that guarantee a minimum amount of game time- like Pique had until this season.
