He was good today, but his performance depends on the situation and matchup type. Problem for Barca is that they haven't decided to bring in a midfielder or a setup that a manager is willing to use where Busquets regularly gets rotated.

He was slow in all aspects of the game until the first goal. Had poor awareness, quite a few poor passes and lost his duels. Grew into the game and played well later on tho, but really looked like the odd one out of Pedri, Gavi and FDJ who all started much better.

He was great today, and the whole team was great. Ok Madrid were poor (completely different level to last years SuperCopa for example) and are out of form, but from Barca side we moved in all the phases as a team, and created space for eachother. For this Busquets is great when he has 2 or more outlets everytime he gets the ball, and the space is covered when he advanced on the short press.

Oh and as I'm typing, that RB we were close to signing in the summer from Rennes, just scored against Paris St Messi.

Absolutely. Don't want to take too much today, but Madrid are as much out of form as Bayern were when we met. And this game was so much bigger for us today, and it showed.
