There are some basic minimal requirements of movement and physicality to play top level football and he just falls comically short.

You're welcome
There was a moment late in the game where he got passed the ball from behind and he was further up the pitch. I was wondering who the player was until he started running.

He is the first player that needs to be replaced in the summer. Just useless.

He is lucky that De Jong and Pedri are in great form, and are running their asses of. If they weren't, he would look even worse than he is currently looking.

The first goal of Bilbao is on him. He drops in the backline, like he did under Guardiola to help the deeper buildup, but is so slow to get back in his position that the team at times looks broken.

Not only does he go out late, but when he does, he presses like an idiot when it was clear he was gonna be 2nd on that ball and gives Raul Garcia a free path for an easy assist down the middle for Inaki. Just a fuck-up from start to finish and he does this shit several times a game. His legs are just gone (considering he was far from an explosive mover even in his peak), and in that position, they are very important.

Lenglet also is to blame because he was turned with ease by Williams as if he was some amateur CB. As far as I know, Inaki is right-footed. He was always gonna be tempted to put the ball on his right for a safer finish and a cleaner hit.

De Jong and Pedri are always running and pressing, but when 2 of the players do that, and the 3rd is slacking off, major disconnections happen.

Suarez was the start. Busi needs to go, and depending on whether Pique comes back from injury with his head still in the clouds, he needs to follow Busi as well.

Only Messi and Alba are still good enough from the veterans.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
There was a play that pretty much sums up his performances nowadays... He tried a pass and it got intercepted, and both Pedri and Griezmann who were way further up the pitch when we lost possession, managed to track back faster than him and recover the ball... It's shocking really!

It's really coaches fault to let this happen for years now. Koeman needs to put an end to it and I don't care if he plays a B team player if Pjanic is turning out to be poor version of crooked Busquets.

It's not just his pace and weak physique we need to worry about. So many times he's caught out of position, he follows a man he shouldn't and leaves a hole in behind. I was watching his positioning yesterday and it's just not good enough anymore. Sure his passing is good, that's about it.

Honestly it feels like watching a retired player who's come back 2 years later. His intelligence on the pitch isn't what it used to be.
