Big part of our problem. In moments of the game, I tried to imagine that the whites was our team in order to notice how they moved compared to us. Just immense differences in physicality, disciplin, alacrity, spirit and belief.

The basic building blocks of a team, which we haven't paid attention to for 5 years, still blinded for by our monomaniacal belief in technicality and "the Barca way."

I'm not saying that the philosophy of Barca can't work. I'm saying that any philosophy of a team, be it tiki-taka or anything else, is something you can think about AFTER you've got those basic building blocks in place.

Disciplin, physicality to match top level opponents, belief, spirit, alacrity. If we're blind to those things because we think we're above them, then we'll continue to get our asses handed every single year come knockout stages.

One thing is for sure, Busquets will get found out, not in most la liga games but when the competition is tough he will buckle. I?d rather try Moriba, Puig, Pedri because at least you?re not SURE they will fuck up big. They?re mostly unproven (even Pedri) but we can either let them be the future or sit them on the bench playing someone who we know can?t handle big teams.
