Busi will excel when he has a strong system around. Things are different with Barca. Different teammates, coach... He is not your talisman.

Thing is he has not declined as much as some seem to claim .

The team / system just doesn?t suit him that well.

As soon as we get a competent manager we will see the best of him again .

He?s just turned 33 and hasn?t an ounce of fat on him .

People seem to forget that he has NEVER been very fast .

Busquets has been better for Spain than for Barcelona lately because the national team is able to press much higher up on the pitch than Bar?a is, which greatly benefits the midfielder. [sport]

Finally people say it. High line and press needed for Busquets to dominate games

Everyone knows what Buysquets is on the ball there is nothing hidden.

When gets time can still play decent passes.

Trouble is rarely gets it, teams press him and defensively he is a complete liability and has been for years.

Been an absolute disaster in all the CL thrashings and not had a good game v Real in years.

His passing has been shit for Barca this season as well. So many poor passes and decisions that cant be blamed on others.

Funny how everyone going crazy over Busquets having a decent game in Nations League hates on Griezmann seeing what he did and does with France n I don't even like griezmann

It's true, but tbh, this Spain team is better coached than Barca. A younger, faster team. At Barca, the manager is average, clueless tactically, and he's surrounded by slow players like Roberto and Pique.

Busi plays better for Spain, and it's not just this game.

The second video I posted above is mainly from recent Barcelona games.
Yes he plays better for Spain, but he plays greatly for Barcelona too, and is not at all the problem. Well if you want Barcelona to play like Stoke, he is one of the problems.

Busi has been average for Spain for years since 2012.

Had a couple good games in Euros and was good last night in game that suited him perfectly.

Just a few games ago he was getting torn to shreds looking out his depth v Sweden.

Of course he will look better when teams have pace and other side cant press him on the ball as much as threat of going other way but for Spain he gets more of that and still looks liability when teams get at them.

Last night v Italy they planned to sit back and hit on break and were starting to get joy with it and chances prior to the red card. They were not interested in pressuring Busi all that much on the half way line. They were letting him pass it about there.

His pass accuracy for Barca is honking as cant do it under pressure. It is 13th best in team and that is due to his own limitations more than anything else.

He is a major part of the problem when Barca try to play out from back. He cant move his legs to get into space to beat the press and too slow when gets on it.

Off the ball defensively.. he is as bad as will see from any DM in the top leagues. Absolutely woeful.

Truth. Koeman is clueless. Enrique actually good.
