As much as we hate on the guy and as much as people don't want to accept it or admit it, this guy is a top 3 CB in the World and easily better than Pique in his current state.

He might be a dirty SOB, but it works for Real Madrid and their players. For them he's their leader and a WC CB, and been clutch for them.

The money RM spent on him more than a decade ago was outrageous for a defender in Spanish Football at that time, but turned out well worth it for them.

Which is why Barca shouldn't hesitate on De Ligt if he proves himself against CL competition. He's a leader and an excellent CB. The perfect player to take over Pique who is on a rapid decline with his attention seemingly elsewhere as well.

De ligt looks like Mbappe to me, in terms of potential.

Even if he doesn't make it here we could easily get more than half considering his age. He is a very good gamble to take on, because we definitely need a Pique replacement and I don't see anyone coming from La masia either.
That means we would have to sign someone sooner or later, which would definitely be a gamble, so why not De Ligt ?

Yes.

De Ligt could be a potential 10 year investment + captain.

It will be expensive, but I'll rather have one WC/generational potential player than two decent ones for the same price.

Obviously we first need to see how he does in the CL. Same goes for De Jong.

But if they both star for Ajax then Barca should just drop 110m for both of them and then sign a striker next summer.

It's not that hard to be better than Piqué at this point.

This season he's playing well but the last one he was terrible in the league and in the CL apart from the PSG match. He's really inconsistent like Madrid's defence as the number of goals conceded in the league in the last decade show. This season he plays well not because he's taking the penalties but because Madrid don't concede goals.

Real Madrid had no structure last season. Team was open and looked clueless in midfield and attack against many teams too.

Our CBs were actually the strong part of our defense last season, imo, they just got let down by midfield and the FBs, and the general lack of structure.

Whats the nick for Ramos btw, now that he is the main penalty taker?
I mean, Pamos is just too simple, isnt it?
