This is the same paper that called Ramos the moneygrabber really. I was initially very pissed off with the situation and even ranted on Twitter, but I'm glad he's staying. I just wish it happened differently. Iker and the topic of captaincy and legend treatment was the subject of this whole malarky between Sergio and Perez. Could have been more pro about this.

Yup no shame in getting the 3rd highest salary for Sergio. He is a beast.

I personally don't see a reason why he shouldn't be the best paid player in RM, after the superstar(s). IMHO he should be ahead of Bale, too, but as if Perez would ever let that happen.
