Sergio Ramos

The words he mentioned are normal & supportive too .. probably most people here are as usual overreacting

We all know Pique and we are not going to change him,"
"We are not going to get into whether what he did was right or not.
"The truth is that the booing does not benefit anyone, on or off the pitch. We are here to represent our country, Spain, and we must all be together."

"We cannot reproach Pique because he gives everything on the pitch,"
. "The sooner we forget this, the better it will be because in the end, by talking about it we only allow this issue to continue."

Of couse he had to be supportive they are in the same team and partners in pitch.
Ramos could look pretty horrible without Pique as his partner.
I dont read spanish but he tried to come up with partying?

Those two links that user posted paint a strange picture. In one, Ramos is openly supporting Pique, in the other, he makes a quick joke about the reporters not asking about the drinking incident, which makes it seem like he's disappointed that they didn't take the chance to take a dump on Pique. But it doesn't have to mean that, it was probably a good hearted quip.

BTW can somebody who speaks fluent Spanish explain what "no vamos a cambiar Pique" means? Change him, as in, change his behavior?

Did he not support Pique? All Marca, AS, Sport and El Mundo write about team's unity on the cover and how they appeal to stop whistling at him. This forum is actually the only place that says otherwise.

Not really. Barça's twitterverse disliked Ramos' words a lot more more than here. I saw a lot of people saying neither iker, nor sergio, would talk like that about Xavi.

I thought that was Ramos being Ramos and he was expecting them to dig into the party business like the journos they are, so he stood up and called them out on their shit?

This guy is such a big tool.

Just made another retarded comment.

And to think he could become Spain's captain one day. He got passion, that's it, but maturity sure as hell not.

Not gonna happen, but I'd really love to see the Catalan players walk away from the Spanish NT right now and let those losers try to win a C'Ship alone.

Funny about his comment is that he has referenced other clubs when celebrating, lol. And pique retweeted something about it, then deleted, but someone took a print:

Pique surely didn't like this last comment.

Can you tell me which players from Spain are Catalan? I'm really curious who would remain if all of them left.

Catalans only Pique, Cesc, Alba & Busquets...forget about Bartra.. he is mediocre by all accounts

Iniesta & Pedro are Spanish ...

You can easily replace Alba with Gaya or Azpi or Bernat ... Busquets with plenty of DM/CM's available .. it's not a position Spain suffer from

Cesc is Cesc... Koke & Isco can do a better job

Pique.. i sense a lack of current top level Spanish CB .. i mean between Albiol , Javi Martinez (if he is fit which he won't till he gets out of Bayern Munich Pep's regime ) Mikel San Jose (if he return to be a defender not a DM ) , Nacho ?... Spain has a big gap in the CB position & no proper replacement.. maybe Inigo Martinez if he rediscover his form[h=1][/h]

Iniesta can be replaced by Isco, Alba by Gaya etc the only holes would be Pique and Busquets. Not to mention that Spain has a lot of middlefielders so even that wouldn't be too much of a problem. The only weakness would be Ramos' CB partner so it's not like Spain team would be much weaker.

You think....

The midfield positions in general there is too much talents available... Busquets missing won't be a big deal
you look in all la liga teams & you will find abundance in his position.. even 2 CM's can do the trick.. Real played without a DM last year and were great if it wasn't for the injuries
Koke-Gabi-Isco-Cazorla-Cesc-Mario Suarez-Saul- Iturraspe-Javi Martinez-Thiago- Ander Herrera - Oliver Torres- Ceballos ... it's not like a position Spain can suffer any time soon from it ... far from it
