Josh, the women thread is that way ;)

I posted this in the Atleti thread but it is a bit quiet in there so I am putting my question here too. :)

Alejandro Gomez of Catania is apparently very close to moving to Atletico. I have not really seen him play. Any good?

Can't say I watch Catania regularly (I prefer the pink half of Sicilia), but he's put in some impressive performances. Really gone under the radar, probably because of the club he plays for. He along with the other Argentine attackers formed a good partnership in Catania & like I said in an earlier post they did break the club's points record this season. I think Atletico would be a good place for him, step up from Catania plus Simeone has coached him before.

He'd been linked to Inter the past couple seasons but nothing ever came of it.

too funny.....he was the only one stopping and saying hello to the girls.
The only thing he 'll be reminded at Juve for, beside being retired of driving license in March by danish police

Thanks, XaviMessiGirl :) I wonder what the fee, presuming he is still under contract, would be.

(Might I also add that I'm not sure he's talented enough to ever play for a top club, but for the clubs who are just one level below the top, certainly.)

And about the fee, I remember Inter being rumored to have bid 6m last summer, imagine he'd actually go for more than that though especially after this season. I think his contract is through 2015.

Berlusconi just said that Allegri will go to Roma & the announcement will be after the Siena game. He said it smiling though so have a feeling it might just be an example of real life trolling.

Milan need to beat Siena to clinch 3rd place today, any slip up & Fiorentina will take 3rd place. Could well be Allegri's last game in charge, although i hope not, he's done really well & developed people well. If he can get a midfield of Muntari, Flamini & Nocerino to dominate games, think what he could do with some proper midfielders. I hope he stays.

Although it would be a touch sad for Fiorentina to miss out, because they probably play the best football in Serie A & something tells me they'd do well in the CL. Too bad about losing the 4 spots.

What's the story about the rumours linking him to Roma? I presume Milan want to keep him so why would he go to Roma? It's a step down.

I think he's tired of being criticized by Berlusconi (whether most of it's tongue in cheek i'm not sure) but i get the feeling he doesn't like him, he's been disrespected a little i think. A bit less pressure over at Roma, who themselves have a very good team at the moment, potential to over-achieve. He'd probably suit Roma well, but i hope he stays, even at the start when we were around 15th i wanted him to stay, because his playingstyle is good and clear & good results were only going to come down the line.

His only drawback is his performances in the big games, we tend to dominate but ultimately lose more than we win.

Siena probably won't put up a fight regardless. First off they're already relegated. Second off why the hell would they want to be responsible for handing the third CL spot over to their rivals... doesn't look good for Fiorentina.

Though Montella said if Siena win he'll learn their anthem!

Milanistas shouldnt worry much tonight. Siena have nothing to fight for and since Balotelli is banging goals in left-right, he will get them 3rd place regardless of Fiorentina result.
