So there's going to be a huge protest by ultras at the next round of matches. If you didn't hear, Milan have to play their next home match entirely behind closed doors, because their fans were found guilty of racism (more specifically, "territorial discrimination" against Neapolitans, which falls under the same umbrella as racism by FIGC rules). Naturally, this pisses off Milan ultras. So far, Inter & Juve ultras have joined them in solidarity & at the next round of matches they will loudly sing the same chants. They're also encouraging other clubs' ultras to do the same, in the hopes to get all stadium doors closed at once for one weekend.

While I agree that punishments like this are excessive, and I stand with them in this regard as it also punishes people who did nothing wrong, this is not the way to go about demanding change. All I can see this doing is making things worse & fuel the fire against Italian supporters.

He's never mentioned in this category, but statically, Totti has been performing at a world class level for many years now. He's having a second youth. :)

There have been talks about him getting called up for the World Cup. Would be a great idea tbh, even at his age he's still better than Osvaldo & Gilardino.

Do it Prandelli

Only in Italy can you hold a club to ransom and be called a hero and/or a legend....Yes I am referring to Totti.

You're not necessarily wrong & a lot of people (non-Roma fans) cite this as one of the main reasons they don't like him. He's still a great player though.

CdS running a story that if/when Thohir takes over Inter that he will try to get Pirlo for free. Too bad it's CdS, so there's probably no substance. Even a Pirlo at 50% I would love to see at Inter for a couple years. Come back.

Still probably wouldn't be a fan of Thohir though.

Napoli have moved one step closer to a new staidum

de laurentis

“I can announce that the San Paolo will remain Napoli’s home,”
“We reached an agreement, there will be a bilateral commission set up by the Naples Council and Napoli football club, but we have already found the solution which will be innovative.
“Napoli will have the rights to ownership of the stadium and the adjacent zones, so to do everything we need to make it to the maximum level of European standards. The Caserta option has been abandoned.
“We got into details, establishing a deal on the fact this stadium will be in Naples with guaranteed returns of investment.”

Mayor Luigi De Magistris

“Napoli will soon have a stadium worthy of the team and the city. This is a challenge I want to win. De Laurentiis wants to make important investments into the San Paolo, which is currently used once every 15 days.
“We want to re-qualify the Fuorigrotta area around the stadium with spaces for music and entertainment. At the centre of it will be a wonderful stadium with the Napoli museum inside.”
“What we can be certain of is that the restructuring will not prevent Napoli from playing at the San Paolo during the season, nor will the Council pay a single Euro, as it will all be done by private enterprise.

from the same article :
There are three different options for how the deal will be struck. The first is for the Council to loan the land to the club for 99 years (the system adopted by Udinese and Juventus), selling the stadium to Napoli (which would take an extremely long time due to the problems with the current legal framework) or giving De Laurentiis the right to build on the land.

How the hell did Maicon suddenly become so good again?

EDIT: Aww, Totti subbed off. Makes this game less interesting.

Great pass by Insigne! Pandev really should've scored there.

I watched the game a bit to see what the hype was all about, but got bored and left. :coffee:
