@Horatio @Temptation @Fati_Future_BallonDor @KingLeo10 @Alik

Got an exact for Lecce-Empoli (1-1) :) And a close for Union Berlin-Freiburg (predicted 1-1, finished 0-0)

Got Rayo and Marseille wrong in upsets, but a nice enough start to the weekend's predicting.
I think we need a separate 'betting tips thread' at this point.

Actually, how do we not already have that?! Seems there's a thread for every other freaking useless theme on here (like US elections, war, even favourite TV show and music), why not for this too?

And unlike talking about that other stuff, people could actually benefit from this. I think it's time to make a new thread in Caffe Catalonia, don't you? :sneaky:

Yeah, or probably in football, seeing as it is more relevant to football, and pertains to the game (unless betting on horses etc).

It could be combined with me or others talking about predictor games (I predict scores for fun, very rarely bet for money) and then I wouldn't take threads off-topic with posting screenshots of my predictions, lol.

Good shout gregorrin. Also, hope you are enjoying that sweet payout you got for the 20 fold acca :)

I mainly only bet on football anyway (apart from the occasional NBA/NHL slip), so it would absolutely still be on topic. I must say I actually really miss something like that on here, would be nice to compare notes, just talk about it, and hopefully make some money together. :sneaky:

Thank you I am. :D Slow and steady on about 59,7k right now. Will wait and play this weekend's games first, then probably pull the trigger during the international break, when the offer isn't all that much. I actually spent this week informing the bank so they wouldn't freak when the money comes. :ROFLMAO: Gotta get all my ducks in a row before doing this, tax wise too. Even though I'm 99% positive I won't have to pay a dime, since it's a foreign betting company, but I still wanted to check everything first. The bank even had to contact the freaking 'Office for money laundering prevention', since it's gonna be such a big transaction, and I had to send them proof that the money is legit - won. Still waiting on the answer, hopefully it goes through without a hitch.
we have a betting thread
do we? link?

Yes mate, it would be good to talk about predictions/bets and swap advice and see what other people think. With how well I have done in some leagues on Superbru over the years I would have made good money had I actually bet on a lot of that.

Hahaha yeah I figured tax would be something you'd have to look into. As you say though, sweet that you get to keep all the money really because the betting company is foreign. Nice work mate - I am sure you will be sensible with it and - without knowing your financial situation - it is a lot of money that I am sure will be very handy for you.

You have no idea. The whole acca was about 5 years worth of my salary, that should give you enough idea about what this money is for me. :ROFLMAO:

Was retribution too, for all those near misses before, for 5, 10k and such. Very glad though that the one time I went completely overboard with the possible winnings number, it actually won.

Just need this money to come through, and then it's 'Hello, new PC' at the very least. Still have one from 2010, for fuck's sake. Time to splurge.

That's excellent mate, really pleased it has helped you out a lot. You seem a great guy so delighted to hear it. Obviously you won't squander the money or put it all back into betting as you are smarter than that.

That is a long time to have a PC. Are you a gamer then, are you gonna build a gaming PC? Usually if it's not a gaming PC you can get a decent one for a decent price. But if you are gonna splurge on one that is a fun thing to do too.

I think if someone gave me £60,000 now I would save most of it and spend about £3,000 of it on 4k discs (can get 2 from £30 from HMV), maybe some annuals or those film visual histories, and maybe some more clothes. Give a bit to my mum, cousin and my brother, too.

The way the Inter game went, it very nearly went that near miss way again. And honestly man, it would've broke me. It did when the equalizer first went in. Especially since I had the option to cash out before the last two games (I actually don't know how much, since I didn't dare to look, in case it then didn't win and I would know how much I missed out on), Inter and Porto, which were basically 'easy money' (1.18 and 1.11 odds), compared to some other games/odds I had on there. No such thing as easy money in betting though, guess I should know that by now.

Regarding the PC, I wouldn't say I'm a gamer or anything, a gamer enthusiast for sure though. I actually haven't put that much thought into it yet. I just know I want a kick ass one that I can play all the new games on, for sure, as I loved to do that (FIFA and sports games in general especially), but haven't been able to play that since 14, lol, as the system requirements really went up after that one. Also, GTA VI for sure.

I actually don't know that much about computers anyway, apart from the bare basics, so any help would actually be greatly appreciated. I just know that the RTX 4090 is the best graphics right now, so I think I wanna get that graphic card for sure. And probably an Intel I-9 Processor, which is also the best I think? but I honestly have zero idea about how and which components fit together the best, and even if I want to get an already set up PC, or actually have them build it for me from scratch.

Did already ask the IT support guy at my work to advise me and help me decide, when I eventually decide to start looking at what to buy, as he just helped my coworker, when she bought a new PC.

I am really happy it worked out for you anyway. Obviously it's never good to rely on gambling, but it sounds like this money is a lifeline for you. I am really happy it has given you a financial boost.

I am only a console gamer mate, and I don't play much anymore anyway. I don't know much about computers either - I know more than clueless people eg I know about HDDs, SSDs, I know how to use Plex, torrents etc. But when it comes to actual computer hardware in terms of graphics cards and processors my knowledge is pretty rudimentary like yours. You should definitely ask the co-worker again, or even go on an actual computer forum where people will advise, or just look at different opinions on google. There will also be some techies on here I am sure as people here seem to have an interest in everything

Yeah, we're kinda the same then. I also just know how torrents and that shit work, but anything more than that, It's like lights out. Don't even know what you're on about them discs. Regarding Plex, I don't use streaming services at all though, as I just download torrents of any (mainly tv series) stuff that I watch directly onto my PC and just watch it on there.

Plex is just an app for your own personal downloads, like Netflix for torrents. I have it on my computer and linked to my TV.

There's also IPTV for stuff like that that makes it far easier for non-tech types. I subscribe to some legal subscription services too, though, as they're more convenient.

I know a lot about physical media, I would say. I have been a casual fan of blu rays for years, then this January I really got into collecting. I have over 400 films now in total (adding up multi-film collections) and several TV shows. They often look better than streaming, and there are various pros and cons for streaming vs physical. I upgraded to a 4k stand-alone player earlier this year too. The picture and sound is even better than blu ray, but the price is significantly more usually as 4k hasn't seen the price decrease blu ray has. Makes sense, since 4k has only been available to the public since about 2016. But yeah, I like discs sometimes. I could save money by just streaming but it's good to indulge in things we love.
