They won't catch athletic imo

But again Unai Emery is underrated by many

You seem to be pessimistic by nature. Anyway, it is quite reachable, since now there are 6 points that part us from Bilbao. We have a match against them after 3-4 weeks, and that will be decisive. They will drop points since they will face Atletico Madrid now, then Levante away, Barca away etc. they have a bloody tough calendar, while we only have them (Bilbao) away as a tough fixture, that will be as a final, the others are all winnable considering our fantastic form lately and the fact that we could beat teams away with our second team like last week against Osasuna. Therefore, there are a lot of factors that indicate us as a potential 4th place finisher.

Sevilla's remaining fixtures:

Celta Vigo (away)

Espanyol (home)

Real Betass (away)

Granada (home)

Bilbao (away)

Villarreal (home)

Bilbao's remaining fixtures:

6 wins in a row, the most inform team of all.

While Bilbao's home record has been fantastic, their away form has been quite poor although it has really improved all they can really manage is a draw away from home.

And that's constant points being dropped. They will really need the win against Atletico. Let's be honest they won't pic up points in the Nou Camp.

Sociedad and Villarreal still creeping behind aswel.

Honest or not, I'm waiting for a return of favor if things remain on track until then :p

It'll be close but as Antimilan said Athletic's remaining schedule is tougher. Sevilla only has 2 tough games remaining, Athletic and Villarreal. Athletic on the other hand has Atletí, Barca, Sevilla and Real Sociedad (Basque derby).

Winning run is ending today. That effort on Wednesday must just knocked the lift out of them.

87th minute penalty scored for Celta.

Yep. Psychological fail at its best. The team couldn't keep the feet on the ground, quite simple.

Hoping to do well in EL now and finish the season in the best way possible. 4th place is now still very far, probably unreachable, optimism aside.

24 goals and 23 assists over the past two seasons in a mid table team.

Imagine him in a better team. No offence meant. Sevilla obviously aren't what they were. Improving recently though.

Of course. Besides not being the 'golden age Sevilla', this season we sold like 5-6 players, released a couple and loaned out a couple, while signed and loaned in around 10-11 players. It is almost a whole new team, and the interesting part is that they have gelled quickly. Anyway, I think next season with the sale of Rakitic, Moreno and some other player, we will buy a couple of other good ones and create a very decent team, to fight comfortably for the top 4. I don't know if Emery is the right person for that but I believe in him. He always comes up with something and has a lot of tricks under the sleeves, so Sevilla fans will just have to be patient I guess :p

As for Rakitic, I argued in the Rakitic's thread (other players forum) that if he signs for Atletico (heavily rumored by his native media and stuff), he would have a hard time competing with Gabi (same role). He will have to either play an unnatural role, which would not be good for him, or agree to be a bench-warmer as Cristian Rodriguez (he always comes in as a joker player for Atleti). As for world class... very occasionally. You should've seen him today, utter crap.

He'd probably bench Suarez/Tiago and play alongside Gabi as the playmaker of the double pivot. I actually think he'd fit in perfectly if he were to move there.
