I have read Sevilla forces Monchi to stay because of his ongoing contract and he accepted it. So no transfer to United or anywhere else.

I think if some club is willing to pay his clause he can still leave. There are still strong rumours that Everton wants both Monchi and Emery. They are also willing to give them 130M for transfers. Monchi can buy half of La Liga with that money and Emery can easily win EPL with those players lol. Still hope they both stay in Sevilla though.

Sevilla's board to soon grant Monchi a 95 million euros transfer budget. His initial request was 80-85 million euros.

There are rumors that Praet will be confirmed soon as Banega's replacement for around 10M. He was highly rated some years ago but I didn't really follow him much. It will be hard to fully replace Banega though.

They are apparently also interested in Lucas Perez (Depor) and Keko (Eibar). But if Monchi really has that much money to spend he'll probably get 8-10 new players as I doubt he'll really go after 20M+ players except for maybe paying Perez's buyout clause (or close to that; I don't rate him that much but Monchi clearly likes him if the rumours about that are true) so I'm really interested to see what he'll do. I think they need to improve defense and will target one younger CB and some starters like Gameiro, Tremoulinas or Krychowiak could leave so he'll need replacements for them as well. It's also questionable how Krohn-Dehli will return after that injury at his age. Improving bench will also be important as they seems to have a lot of injuries every season. Don't know if it's just a bad luck or if something is wrong with their fitness preparation or training process. If I remember correctly Valencia also had a lot of injuries during Emery's time there so maybe injuries are really somehow related to his training methods.
Antimilan: What is going on with Sevilla's cantera lately? After Reyes leave only one remaining canteranos in best XI will be Rico (if you don't get another GK as there are rumours you are looking for one). What will happen with Munoz, Cotan and Curro? Will they stay or go on loan?

Thanks for the interesting observation Messi983.

Sevilla's cantera have been more active than before lately. This season, they participated in the Uefa Youth League (for the first time) and also did a great job to enter the play-offs for promotion in the Segunda. Now they will face Logrones in the second round, and with a bit of luck, we can see Sevilla Atletico in Segunda Division for the coming season.

The fact is that there hasn't been a lot of space for promotion, with Emery being focused mostly on winning silverware, namely EL and CDR, and for that you will need experienced players and strong starting lineups. There was too little chance for a cantera to blow up, beside the goalkeepers. Both Rico and Soria (the EL "hero") are canteras that have made it to the first team, and successfully that, especially Rico.

As for Munoz, Cotan and Curro, to be honest, only Munoz showed some glimpses of hope in the last pre-season, by scoring some good goals and contributing well in the attacking build-up play. I think that beside Munoz, none of the other players in the cantera would be ready to step it up to the first team and have an important role there. The ones that made a couple of appearances with the first team, like the 3 you mentioned above, will probably go on loan or be sold, as now with the money that Monchi will have in disposition, and with Emery aiming to create an even stronger team (hopefully so), beside Rico and Soria, I don't think there will be any other homegrown players in the starting lineups of Sevilla, at least not in the important matches.

For everything going on though, including injuries, cantera development, philosophy of the game etc. surely the manager (in this case Emery) has an immense impact. I guess you're right about the assumption that Emery's training methods are the culprit of many injuries (by the way I doubt MKD will ever fully recover at this age), the same discussion was going on with Van Gaal's case at Man Utd. They had the most injuries in the history of the club this season I think, and the fans blamed it solely on Van Gaal's training methods.

Praet was unable to impress for a pretty shitty Anderlecht the last two seasons. Let's see what he can do with better players IF he signs for Sevilla.

Unai Emery could close his move to Paris Saint-Germain imminently, with Rudi Garcia among those in the running to replace him at Sevilla.

A move to Ligue 1 has reportedly seen Emery offered three times more than his Sevilla wages, totalling €6 million, plus bonuses.

In anticipation of the 44-year-old’s departure, Sevilla have been making their own plans, two names that are repeatedly being linked with the head coach position are Garcia and former Chile boss Jorge Sampaoli.

Sampaoli’s track record is impressive, most recently he lead the Chilean national football to win the 2015 Copa America, and is notorious for his attacking tactics.

But unlike Sampaoli, Garcia is no stranger to European football, having enjoyed spells with both Lille in Ligue 1 and Roma in Serie A.

Garcia has been vocal in interviews since his dismissal from the Giallorossi about wishing to find an ambitious project based within Europe, whether it be in Spain, Germany or England.

I'd like to see Sampaoli in Sevilla.

Also, they signed Pablo Sarabia today for around 1M. Great get for that money and they also need Spanish players for CL home-grown quota

So it actually looks like Sampaoli will become their new coach.

This is gonna be exciting.

Damn it, who is going to coach Argentina at the WC 2018? :(

It will be Leo's last chance, my heart won't be able to handle Tata fucking it up. Go for Bielsa or Simeone, just please, not that idiot.

I think no top coach really wants to coach Argentina NT right now because of their FA.

Sampaoli is already in Sevilla.
