He became the captain since the beginning of the season. His role is quite important for the team, and regarding some unofficial statistics, since late 2011 or so, whenever he was not playing, Sevilla didn't win (lost or drew).
Sometimes I hate him for being slow and not living up to his expectations, but one can clearly feel his impact in a match.
He would be a great addition for your team if he transfers in this window, and it would be better if he leaves soon or extends his contract. A non-focused and totally distracted captain does more harm than good... the season is also song (EL, La Liga) , plus all the players thinking about the WC... it will be tough to have them psychologically maintained.
