La Liga has so much more expression and style. When I watch a top La Liga game, there always seems to be something to remember; it's not just about goals. I also think the Premiership lacks depth - look at their lack of success in the UEFA Cup. In the last five years, you've got Middlesborough reaching the final, and that's it. Remember what the score was in that game?:giggle:

I believe that if you had two-legged matches between the Premiership and La Liga top twenty (ie 1st vs 1st, 2nd vs 2nd etc), La Liga would win about twelve.

EPL strikers are a joke... i mean look at the likes of c.cole, d. bent, zamora, johnson, doyle, jo, carew, heskey, fuller, davies, and fagan

compare that to Primera with manu del moral, uche, llorente, adruiz, tamudo, luis garcia, tchite, rossi, nilmar, riki...

i would even put arizmendi to be a better striker than ricardo fuller or ebanks-blake

The strikers you've mentioned from the Premiership obviously have different styles and levels of technique compared with those of La Liga, but they're just as clinical, if not more so in some of their cases, so what everyone is saying is pretty irrelevant.

To be fair Bent and Cole are both good strikers, not world class but they're far from shit. I don't even think there is that much difference between the top 6:
Barca>Chelsea (strongest in England right now)
Real=Man U (I'd prob take Real tbh)
Valencia=Liverpool (Both dependant on a certain players, lack depth)
Sevilla=Arsenal (Maybe an edge to Arsenal, very close)
Atletico<Man City (City win on defence)
Villareal=Spurs (Spurs better currently, but squad wise pretty close)

Easily IMO there better than Spurs, Everton ect...
The Premier league isn't that strong atm illustrated by Liverpool losing 2-1 at home to A.Madrid and 3-0 away to Espanyol. With consitancy Valencia would probably finish in the top four, they have the physical ability and blinding pace.

LOL at taking those results seriously :hooray: :party00231:

If you think Espanyol could beat us in a competitive match then you are more of an idiot than I think you are!

The thing is I think it goes both ways.

I don't think for one SECOND any team bar barca, real and sevilla from la liga would make the top 7 in the premier league because of the pace and physicality of it. But nor do I believe everton, villa, spurs would make the top 7 in la liga because of the lack of technical prowess throughout the teams.

Basically what I am saying is take a team out of their comfort zone and into another league and they'd struggle. Only certain teams would not, the top 3 in spain currently and the big 4 plus city in england.

Yeh the argument of 'they'd only finish 9th in this league' is a stupid one, if a side moved to a new league they'd adapt their side to it, buy new players and change their style etc. A team that play with lightweight technical players would change that totally if they moved to the Prem. My head to heads above were based on if they played eachother next week.

The Espanyol game isn't relevant but the two Liverpool-Atleti results last season are. Both sides are pretty much the same now as they were back then.

I think Atleti were the better team tbh and only a Gerrard dive stoppped them from winning.

Yet you conveniently forget the vicente calderon game where we had the upper hand.

At home in the CL in the group stages we usually draw and win away.

Yes Chucka we let them win........in pre season where gaining fitness was the primary motive. Only an idiot like yourself would take credence from pre-season results.
