Gerrard had a great season but him saying that and then he slips up was just funny.Probably not for Liverpool fans but hey they can try to win it next season with some smart transfer.Nobody thought they would play for the title this season.

Why do you have to put down Barca in an attempt to defend Liverpool?

I feel sorry for Gerrard but let's be honest saying don't let it slip and then slipping will go down in premier league history. It was damn funny and sad at the same time.

They spend as much as United.

Liverpool and United do spend a lot compared to most other PL clubs, but the gap between them and City/Chelsea is disgusting. You have City breaking UEFA rules but since they don't apply in the league, they can still essentially buy their way to the PL title. Also, Liverpool and United spend because they earn it, not because their owner has bottomless pockets.
