Barca will soon field a full French team.

What is so funny? Spain and France are neighbors with many cultural, linguistic, historical, ethnic etc. similarities. In particular Catalonia and Occitania (Southern France) are rather close regions historically speaking. Barça and Lyon have excellent ties as well and we have a history of good buys from them.

Nobody ever criticized the level of the best French players. No sane person that is.

Domestic Western African leagues are of a incredibly low quality but that does not prevent players from those countries from flooding every single Ligue 1 club. Having many great footballers like 60+ million big France has, does not mean that they have a great domestic league.

England has had a good domestic league for the past 15 years but in that same period they had very, very average domestic players (largely) and an even more average national football team although the English tabloids, as usual, did everything to overrate them.

Although, fair credit to them, that is changing nowadays and they have a lot of exciting talents coming up and their national youth teams are doing very well.

Your hypocrisy.

Did I write anything that was not spot on?

Another great reply to a factual post of mine. How many one-liners was that? 3 within 20 minutes? There is zero hypocrisy but I do know that you want to make it sound like Ligue 1 is only second to La Liga and EPL and moreover not that far behind both of them to somehow make QSG's "achievements" much greater than they really are in the domestic tournaments now when you have failed repeatedly in the CL 7 seasons in a row after spending, I don't know how many billions of €. Good luck trying to propagandize that opinion among informed European football fans.

Ndombele is a farmer. Only in his second season with Lyon, coming from second division side Amiens. You don’t want him. He isn’t good enough. Let him stay in the farmers league. I’m sure there’s some awesome Spanish CM’s that would be a much better fit for Barca. Preferably someone with “Barca DNA”.

Rodri would have been an equally great fit but he was faithful to Atlético (his home club) and returned after 5 season at Villarreal this summer. Anyway we will help Ndombélé further propel his career and give him something to fight for trophy wise and to develop as a player. If not us another elite club in a elite league will do it. Ndombélé himself knows that he has no future in France if he wants to develop and reach a much higher level.

Sorry for stating some facts again.

You and Ndombele spoke?

Yes, just met him while visiting L'Auberge du Pont de Collonge earlier tonight. We had a great talk and he mentioned how desperately he wanted to move to an elite league and an elite club. Told him, that Barça would welcome him with open arms and that his agent should give Abidal and Bartomeu a call.

If Ligue 1 has got anything, it's academics. They're producing quality. Nothing to do with its farmers' league status.

Ah, so the players are quality, but not the competition. That makes sense.

Some of the players French academies produce are quality. They often leave before they reach certain levels. French clubs are often its biggest enemy. Prime example: Monaco's golden generation.

We often see how good that competition is. There is none.

I guess Kylian Mbappé must’ve vanished from the face of the planet.

So on top of being a salt miner you’re also a liar?

Yes, because every single footballer in Ligue 1 is a great talent. The reality is that outside of a few talents and a few top/elite players, the average Ligue 1 player is nothing special, hence the state of the league and its achievements in Europe today and historically. End of discussion. You go on.

Ligue 1's greatest achievement today and throughout its history is being a feeder league for the Spanish, Italian and English leagues (more recently the English league) and being great at importing and integrating unknown African talents and giving them a chance. More recently a few French talent academies, Lyon's, Rennes as well and even QSG's is improving, in particular, have risen up similar to how the talent work in France as a whole changed in the 1980's for the better after decades of decline of French football and zero performances by the French national team let alone French clubs who were non-existent when trophies were decided whether in the old European Cup, UEFA Cup, UEFA Cup Winners Cup etc.

Certainly not as special as the average player in Italy or England, where the educations systems are lacking.
