Don't be tricked by Rafa's results thus far. Played some no names up until the last 16, choke job by ferrer in the qtrs., and then a mediocre clay-courter in murray, who had to play two 5 setters the past week, and who's only recently returned from a lay off. Rafa's first test lies this sunday, the result of which is very predictable for those of us who follow him regularly.
Lets consider this year for instance. He loses a GS final(AO) to a player he'd never prev. lost a set to, beat by part-time rapper(dolgo), followed by ATP's #1 choker (Almagro). All along getting spanked by his arch-rival Djokovic, who took him out in Beijing, WTF, Miami, and Rome. He's basically conceded all Clay Masters to the Serb by now. RG is the only turf that remains, and the latter has been getting ever closer each year. Given Rafa's decline, midget psyche (when facing novak), and poor form, the end is nigh.
Those who think Rafa has even a slightest chance, are living in cloud-cuckoo land.

Midget psyche ? Against Novak ?

No way, Nadal is the tennisman with the best psyche in ATP. That's one of the things that made him world #1. Never loses his temper, always focused. Unlike Novak, who just yesterday broke his racket...
Judging from this RG, Nadal looks in much better form than Djokovic to me (the latter said after the semi-final yesterday that at some point he felt tired). Have you seen his forehands against Murray ?

Nah, if they both play the way they played yesterday, Nadal will win his RG #9.

This.

Zanela, you're being way too pessemistic on this. Rafa is in great form and im sure he'll show it tomorrow.

I am Leg End
I agree with her. Djokovic has taken out Nadal on Clay this season already and I think has the mental edge on Nadal. I expect Djokovic to win tomorrow.

So, is Nadal standing 2 meters behind the baseline, and moonballing in short balls for his master? I'm not watching the match, just following the scoreline. And he seems to 've choked a lead in the sec set. Normal service resumes against his serbian master. Rafa is pathetic, should just retire to save another 2011 embarassment.

So much for good form, and forehand winners.
