Not gonna celebrate just yet, rafs has a final hurdle to surmount. His matches have been quite nerve-wrecking for his fans the past 2 years, i could no longer take it after the 4th set tie-breaker. Just refreshing a live match commentary.:p Had he lost this one, the rafa-nole rivalry would 've mirrored the Fedal. I'm glad he's conquered his arch-rival, he really NEEDED this, and so did his fans. Stay Strong, Rafa!!! :)

I feel kinda gutted for Novak, because he really deserves the career Slam. I hope soon or later he'll do it, just like Federer had to wait Nadal getting bad with the knees to win Roland Garros for 1st time.

He'll probably do it next year, the condition is that he keeps his good play and stops losing with idiotic mistakes such as his smashes today. This year he was close in the conditions that he had to battle Nadal on his favorite clay conditions. He can do to Rafa what Nadal did to Federer in 2008 after 2 close tries.
Nadal's hardest game in his Roland Garros history, him being 100% fit ( against Soderling he claimed he was "crippled" though I think he just wanted to freshen his mind after being beaten by the swede ), I still can't get it how Novak went from disturbingly dizzy to killing Nadal in his quick rebreaks, if he had the same mentality as Rafa or Roger, this guy would've killed this sport, too many ups and downs for him, Nadal's forehand winners are clearly not enough to beat a 100% Novak like he was in 2011 Wimbledon and US Open finals, not even on clay. We can sense the progress from last year, from losing 2-0 in Monaco to beating him 2-0, now he kept Nadal in extra-time, similar Nadal-Federer at Wimbledon, he's taking it slowly but surely towards a great upset in very close future.

Djoker blaming the dry clay that wasn't watered enough and was slippery.

Rafa, to me, is like watching Messi play football.

Djokovic is a sore loser. Always was and always will be. He always finds something to complain about when it's not going his way. Maybe he should learn how to hit an overhead instead. Idiot!

Same for me, he's the only player I watch nowadays. He has the attitude and he can do mind boggling stuff. Federer and Djokovic are like machines IMO, Nadal is the humble artist.

I'm not sure I understand you rightly, but did you just call Nadal more artistic than Roger Federer?

You might like Nadal more, BUT HE IS NOT an artist, he's a battering ram.

Federer, now, there's an artist with a racquet.

Okay, you have the right to like whoever you want. But how exactly do you define the term "artistic", when it comes to tennis?

Because, if we use football comparisons here, Federer is a Ronaldinho, while Nadal is Cristiano.

Roger is one of the most creative, unorthodox and genial players in the history of the game, while Nadal has always been the hard worker, relying mostly on his physical attributes, speed and power. How exactly it makes Nadal more "artistic" than Federer or I don't understand the meaning of the word?

Sure, Nadal relies heavily on his physical strength but he too can make genius points which I myself find Rafa's points more impressive than Federer's. Nadal just impresses me more than Federer, nothing more nothing less hence my opinion that Nadal is more of an artist. Don't get me wrong, Federer is most probable the best ever but he doesn't wow me like Nadal does.

He actually asked for a washing at 7-6 since the set was at that moment in "overtime". The clay courts are washed every time between sets and not to cool the players with a sprinkler like they play for Internazionale, because clay has to be watered from time to time, and at that moment, it was a perfectly logical thing to ask since the regular set was over. If you ever played tennis at a decent level on red clay you would have a damn good idea that he is right. Apart from this, the game was played in Nadal's favor with conditions perfect for him, very warm for Paris and windy, he actually complained like an idiot fool about the programming ( because it rained, he was delayed for 1 day, but Fognini already played R2 in time before the rain ) when it clearly wasn't the organizers fault the clouds love to visit Paris ---> Who the is the big cry baby? Nadal is always the first of any player to cry like a bitch and do it everywhere he can, he has to cry on: Facebook, At the Press Conference, on Spanish tv in Spanish, on international channels in Spanglish, in the locker room crying at the maid, at the fans so they support he's ideas etc.

Roger Federer is THEE artist of the sport of Tennis. No one comes close to his style, finesse and precision with a racquet.

You're not even a real journalism
Federer is the most elegant sportsman i've seen in my life, not sure about the haircut though.

After Alessandro Nesta ofc.
