So this case has been really muddled up by erroneous reporting both by Barca and Madrid medias, it seems that nobody seems to understand what is going on correctly because of the flood of disinformation. I looked into much more today :
The main problem that exists is that Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira did NOT sell refereeing reports. His son Javier did and has been working with other clubs also who have paid him for technical advice.
The reason we are being investigated is that we paid money to his dad (VP of ref committee) who does not sell such services and stated that refereeing reports were not part of his services to Barca at any time. This has been confirmed by the investigators who have said no written reports from him personally exist.
So the question has moved to why we were paying him, using his son as an intermediary.
He has stated that his contract with us was entirely verbal and no written products exist. Luft posted the services he claimed to provide us above and from what it looks like we were essentially paying for him to lobby for us with his influence and help us gain footing within the arbitration world.
Perhaps not directly fixing games by paying off refs to make bad decisions, but something that is a severe conflict of interest nonetheless and an abuse of his position.
