From the newspaper Sport , thanks to the text of the deputy director Albert Masnou, the inclination of the Catalan press is appreciated with respect to the referees and Bar?a. The journalist explains exactly what Meg?a D?vila's role within the white club consists of - 7,000 euros a month give a League -:

?Save error or omission, Carlos Meg?a D?vila receives annually about 7,000 euros a month that Florentino P?rez has paid him since September 2009, a few months after being chosen president of Real Madrid. It was one of the first decisions he made and now, three and a half years later, he is starting to get a return on investment ?.

?Obviously, Madrid does not admit the double function of the referee. According to official explanations, Meg?a D?vila acts as guide for the referees when they go to the Bernab?u. He will pick them up at the airport, take them to the hotel... and whatever it takes. They say that he also whistles some training for the first team when Mourinho requests it and that he gives explanations to the players to explain the regulations ?.

?The signing of Meg?a D?vila is unique in the world of football because, as far as we can go, there is no record of a club taking over a former referee to act as an executive. […] Meg?a D?vila is the hand that rocks the cradle, the great cause that today the League is not fair and that the competition has been adulterated to very serious limits ?.

From 2012. Obviously LaLiga never investigated this.

Still laughing at him saying something like "we won't let a few billionairs ruin our football" while sitting next to Nasser.

It's obvious that this guy is a PSG puppet. :puke: Barca should sue him just for speaking thrash without any evidence.

How can Tebas stay on as La Liga Chief if: he is under investigation, found guilty, has upset RFEF, is calling for a club to fire their President, has an obvious agenda against 1 club, has committed fraud (other crimes), has behaved in an unethical way, the CVC deal is exposed, plus who knows what else will come up showing either illegal or unethical behaviour on his part.

Nothing against real Madrid will ever make noise

Two ex referees literally came out and said Madrid bullied them and nothing happened

Javier Tebas received €232,000 from Mallorca for providing them with reports on players in the Argentine market while he was the vice president of La Liga.

Not sure if this is allowed by La Liga for its VPs to provide service to clubs like this, but the nature of the problem, if there is one, is quite different from what we allegedly did. Tebas' service to Mallorca, whatever it was, didn't have the intent or actual impact on the results of the games for Mallorca or any other clubs.

But hey, if this helps bring this piece of work down, great news!

There is no proof of any influence on the referees and what Tebas etc seem to miss is Barca dont actually have to defend themselves in fac of no evidence thats not how it works.

The press conference wont bring anything knew and those against Barca will claim did not provide enough 'evidence' to defend themselves most likely.

But again.. thats not how it works and it is on them to prove it.

It brings up a key point though. Could it be used as a doorway to influence? And what is the actual difference in paying the VP of Referees to the VP of LaLiga.

Besides the services of Tebas to Mallorca seem well out of his scope of knowledge, so it is a weird one and I'm glad it is coming out. Unless they contracted his lawfurm LawSport, which doesn't seem to be the case.

Is this true?

If it's common practice for officials to receive money from clubs, then it's a regulations problem.
