That's why they want either Premiership or Atlantic League. To get money from TV, to get players, to get fans, to get megabucks, to contend in Europe.

Yeh I tend to agree with you Viva. Celtic and Rangers would be in a higher standard of league with more income, allowing them to purchase better quality players and compete on a European level. The passion for football within Scotland will always be high and to be fair with those two gone it gives a great opportunity for the rest to improve and strengthen as a whole. As you said youngsters would become far more prominent which is great for Scottish football.
Quite how they'd work the Atlantic league in terms of European qualification, relegation etc would be complicated. The main worry is that it would set a precedent and may have a knock on effect to many other leagues.

I just wonder whether Rangers and Celtic fans are really going to be excited by having to fly to every away game. And what happens to the Europa League and Champions League? How do they still compete in that?

The only way they should be allowed to join is if the English and Scottish leagues merge completely. I wouldn't want that, I'm sure many SPL and Scottish 1st Div sides wouldn't either but that's the only acceptable scenario.

Yeh that would be the fairest way, although it would be awful. I wouldn't watch it anymore if that happened.

Can someone please tell me what country Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham are in ? And who's league system do they play in ?

Yeah that's right now I remember. WALES. ENGLAND. I don't hear you guys complaining about them playing in England. It is exact same as the Old Firm.

The Welsh league is tiny and those clubs have played in England since the early 20th C. Plus the fact that geographically it's much easier for Welsh clubs to play English teams. Scotland is ridiculously far from London, let alone the south coast. More importantly the Welsh don't moan and bitch about the English like the jocks are always doing. The Scottish always think they're better off doing it alone yet now the Old Firm want to come and play in England. No way.

Yes but we love Wales, we rule over them, they don't cause us any problems and don't take all our taxes.

They are just another county to most people. The same can't be said for Scotland.

Not in football terms though Hamzah, in football you're Scottish, as are Rangers and Celtic. A British league would be horrible and destroy decades of tradition.

What's all this personal shit for? I come down to England whenever I want. Because I'm fucking British.

Only when it suits you lot though eh? Some of you talk about being independent, but the reality is you wouldn't last a second without our help.

You get all our taxes and we take your natural resources. But once those resources have gone... you're on your own !
