For his first clasico and for stepping into one of the biggest shoes of this team Thiago was pretty good. was very nervous for the first half and that put pressure on Don Andres but then got a grip and showed confidence and made fool of some madridistas that was pure eyecandy. Clearly still needs time but loved it that Pep showed he trusted him.

He has the touch and the immediate talent to be a top player.

It is his concentration and overall judgement that have me worried, very often he goes for too much.

If anyone thought our lack of groove in midfield was down to Thiago, Xavi entrance dispelled it entirely as we looked pretty much the same.
Some good stuff from the boy in the match. Nice work rate and confidence to take on anyone.

No we actually improved a bit. When the ball did actually reach the massively unfit Xavi, he could hold onto it with much more confidence than anyone else in our team yesterday.

I think he playing today shows Pep has a lot of faith in him, and that cesc won't affect him that much, but we'll see.

If he is good enough, there is nothing to worry about, if he is not, extra playing time won't make him into a definitive Barca starter.

He looked bright but still didn't dictate in the same way as Xavi. It was a very high pressure game for him, Real gave us no room or time on the ball. Perfect learning experience for him, he stood up well to it overall, didn't look fazed.
